The Aconcagua is the highest mountain found outside Asia and the highest mountain in the Americas. It has a height of 6,961 meters above sea level. It is located in the Andes, in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, about 15 kilometers from the border of Chile.

The Aconcagua is classified among the so-called "Seven Summits", which include the highest mountains of the seven continents on the Earth: Everest, Aconcagua, Denali, Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, Mount Vinson and Puncak Jaya.
