Answer: Pocahontas

In March of 1613, Pocahontas was captured by some colonists and held for ransom against the Powhatan tribe. Unsatisfied with the Powhatan response, Pocahontas was held for a year at Henricus, near what is now Richmond, Virginia. While there, she met John Rolfe, whom she married on April 5th, 1614.

Answer: The Gallipoli Campaign

The Battle of Gallipoli was a defining moment in the histories of Turkey, New Zealand and Australia. For the Turkish people, it was the final attempt to defend their motherland as the Ottoman Empire crumbled. For the ANZAC countries, it has come to signify the birth of a national consciousness, and the memorial date of April 25th holds greater significance than does Remembrance Day.
3. What is the name of the drink that combines tequila, orange juice, and grenadine syrup?

Answer: Tequila Sunrise

The Tequila Sunrise was created by Gene Sulit and originally served at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel in the 1930s and '40s. There are many variations, not all of which use tequila in the recipe.

The group formed in 1992, and achieved success in Europe with their first single "Big in Japan," which topped the charts in six countries, and made the 'top 5' in six others. It is still their biggest hit to date.

Answer: HMS Bounty

Accounts of the voyage of HMS Bounty had the mutiny, led by 1st Mate Fletcher Christian, occur on April 28th. 1789. Eighteen loyal crew members, along with Captain Bligh, were cast off the ship near the island of Torfu. Bligh managed to navigate the small launch to Timor in the East Indies over 47 days, and 3,618 nautical miles.
6. William Shakespeare wrote ten tragedies. Which one is the longest?

Answer: Hamlet

Hamlet tops the list (by line count) as the longest of ALL of Shakespeare's plays, not only the tragedies, at 3,951 lines. The remaining tragedies rank between themselves as follows: #2-Coriolanus (3417), #3-King Lear (3343), #4-Othello (3323), #5-Antony and Cleopatra (3068), #6-Romeo and Juliet (3058), #7-Titus Andronicus (2522), #8-Julius Caesar (2459), #9-Timon of Athens (2390), and #10-Macbeth (2113).
7. What was the name of the 'Guardian of Scotland' who was defeated at the Battle of Falkirk in the year 1298?

Answer: Sir William Wallace

The First War of Scottish Independence began in the year 1296, and lasted until the Treaty of Edinburgh-Northampton in 1328. During the war, Sir William Wallace was Guardian of Scotland from 1297 until the Battle of Falkirk in 1298. He managed to evade capture by the English until August of 1305. He was tried for treason, although during the trial he attested that "I could not be a traitor to Edward, for I was never his subject."

Wallace was found guilty, then he was hanged, drawn and quartered.
8. What 1976 movie starring Sly Stallone has spawned several sequels?

Answer: Rocky

Stallone has starred in "Rocky" (1976), "Rocky II" (1979), "Rocky III" (1982), "Rocky IV" (1985), "Rocky V" (1990), and "Rocky Balboa" (2006). The full name of the character is Robert "Rocky" Balboa, Sr. During the series, Rocky contests the Heavyweight Championship of the World.

Harold Gregory "Hal" Moore, Jr. retired from the US military in 1977 as a three-star General and a storied career. He served in Korea as a Captain, and of course in Vietnam as a Lieutenant Colonel. He also instructed at West Point, and one of his students was none other than then-cadet Norman Schwarzkopf.
