1. Gros Morne

Gros Morne National Park is situated in Newfoundland towards the west coast. It has been a national park since 2005 and is also classified as a world heritage site. The park is the largest in Newfoundland and is four times larger than the equally popular Terra Nova. Its name is derived from the French term meaning "great sombre".

Yoho National Park is positioned in southeastern British Columbia along the western side of the Rocky Mountains. The park came into being in 1886 following a railway trip through the area by Prime Minister John A. Macdonald. The name of the park can be traced back to the Cree Indian term meaning "awe and wonder".
3. Cape Breton Highlands

Cape Breton Highlands National Park is located in the northern portion of Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. It was the inaugural national park in Atlantic Canada and established in 1936. The park is characterized by its precipitous cliffs and gaping canyons along the forests next to the Atlantic Ocean.

The world famous Cabot Trail also runs through the park affording panoramic views of the area.
4. Kouchibouguac

5. Riding Mountain

Riding Mountain National Park is situated on top of the Manitoba Escarpment about an hour's drive north of Brandon. The park was established in 1933 and also declared a Biosphere Reserve in 1986. It features an elevated vast parkland in variance with the flat prairies of the immediate area. The park is popular among campers and offers a wide array of routes for hikers.
6. Point Pelee

Point Pelee National Park is located in southwestern Ontario and is considered the most southern geographical point in Canada. It is comprised of a peninsula and an island extending into Lake Erie. The park has been in existence since 1918 and its name is derived from a French term meaning "bald point". The Marsh Boardwalk is featured in the park which is a floating boardwalk along the marsh allowing a good view of the wildlife.
7. La Mauricie

La Mauricie National Park can be found in the Laurentian mountains in the province of Quebec. It is about 30km north of Shawinigan adjacent to the Saint-Maurice River. The park is relatively small, measuring only 536 sq. km. but features numerous lakes and dense woodlands. Canoeing and camping are among the most popular activities within the park.
8. Waterton Lakes

Waterton Lakes National Park is placed in the southwestern region of Alberta bordering upon Glacier National Park in Montana, USA. The park was established in 1895 and is characterized by its mountainous terrain and ecosystems, and is also the smallest national park in the Rockies. It is classified as a Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site.
9. Prince Albert

Prince Albert National Park can be found in the middle of Saskatchewan north of Saskatoon. It was created in 1927 and became an official national park during opening ceremonies conducted by Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King the following year. Until the 1980s, it was Saskatchewan's only national park. Camping and watersports are some of the popular activities within the park.

Bruce Peninsula National Park is located on the Bruce Peninsula in the Tobermory region of Ontario. It is part of the Niagara Escarpment and connects to the Bruce Trail which extends to the Niagara River. The park was founded in 1987 and is popular with hikers, campers and birdwatchers.

A popular place within the park is the "Grotto", a sea cave along the shore found between Marr Lake and Georgian Bay.
