The river was named for its appearance. Branco means "white" in English. At certain times of the year the river carries certain types of sediment that make it appear to be flowing white. The river is about 348 miles long.

Answer: The Casiquiare River

Located in Venezuela, the Casiquiare River (or Casiquiare Canal) is the largest river to connect two other major river systems in the world.

It runs 211 miles, originating in the Orinoco River system and empties into the Rio Negro which is part of the Amazon River system.

Answer: The Nanay River

The Allpahuayo-Mishana National Reserve is a wildlife reserve with hundreds of thousands of species of flora and fauna contained within. The Nanay River flows through the northern section of the reserve.

The reserve was created in 1999 and covers 142,272 acres of Peru. It is managed by the Servicio Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas por el Estado, a branch of the Peruvian government.
