Amsterdam is the capital city of The Netherlands, a country found in Western Europe. The country is synonymous with windmills, tulips, the Red Light District, canals and being able to procure cannabis from coffee shops. One of its most famous features are the dikes that keep the country from flooding, as over 25% of the country is below sea level.

The city of Damascus, nicknamed the City of Jasmine, is the capital city of Syria found in Western Asia. While Syria does have a border on the Mediterranean Sea, the country of Lebanon lies between Damascus and the coast. Damascus is spoken of often in The Bible, from Genesis, all the way through to the New Testament. It is one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world.

The correct way to pronounce the name is with silent esses, De(s) Moine(s).
