Answer: Milan

Milan is a city in northern Italy, capital of Lombardy and the second most populous city in the country. Milan, together with Paris, London and New York is considered a capital of fashion. It has a large presence in the arts, design, education, and entertainment that attracts millions of tourists annually.

One of the city's cultural landmarks is La Scala, an opera house, which was opened in 1778. In 1943, during WW II the theater suffered damage from being bombed, but was rebuilt and reopened in 1946. Over the years, the theater has been modernized. Every year, La Scala's season starts on 7 December, Saint Ambrose's Day, Milan's patron Saint.

The longest river in Bulgaria is the Danube River. However, the Iskar River, also known as the Iskūr River, 368 km long, is the longest river that runs entirely in the territory of Bulgaria.

The Iskar River is formed in the mountain range of Rila by its headstream, the White and Black Iskar. This river passes through a gorge in the Balkan Mountains and runs until it flows into the Danube, at a location that is 20 km from Nikopol. Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria, is built on the west bank of Iskar River and has many mineral springs.

Bagan, also called Pagan, is an ancient city that was the capital of the Burmese empire. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the plains of the country on the bank of the Irrawaddy River, in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar.

Bagan is a home to temples and many buildings that were built from the 11th to 13th Century. The area has suffered many earthquakes over the years but there are still more than 2000 pagodas and temples. The Bagan Archaeological Zone has attracted many tourists to Myanmar.

Tikal is the ruin of an ancient Mayan city. Among the ancient Mayan cities, Tikal was the largest, located in Petén, today Guatemala. Tikal was a major cultural and population center. It is believed that in the 4th century BC, they started the construction of monuments and reached the apogee in the period 200 to 850 A.D. It is estimated that it was abandoned in the 10th century.

Currently, the ancient city is part of the Tikal National Park, Guatemala, located in the heart of the jungle. Several archaeological projects are being developed there.

Delft is a city located in the province of South Holland, Netherlands and an important tourist spot in the country. Delft has its historical roots linked with the reigning House of Orange-Nassau; it was the home of the painter Jan Vermeer and is well known for its blue pottery.

Delft pottery, also known as Delft Blue, is a general term to call glazed earthenware, a form of faience. Delft is the largest producer of this ceramic, the majority being blue and white. This type of porcelain followed the model of Chinese porcelain which was imported in large quantities by the Dutch East India Company until 1620.

Yalta or Ialta is a city in the Crimea, located on the Black Sea Coast. The city hosted a series of meetings, held from February 4th to 11th, 1945, at the Livadia Palace. They were secret meetings, where Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Joseph Stalin and Winston Churchill were present. On February 11th, 1945, they signed agreements with the aim of hastening the end of the war and achieving world stability after its end.

The Aswan Dam is an embankment dam built across the Nile in Aswan, Egypt between the 1960s and 1970s. The construction of the dam aimed to better control the floods caused by the Nile, reduce the effects of droughts, increase the supply of water to be used for agricultural irrigation, and generate electricity.

Its construction had a great impact on the Egyptian economy. Like all structures of this size, the positive and negative impacts in the short and long term are significant.

Answer: Sinai

Mount Sinai is a place considered sacred by three religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It is located in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. At the summit, one can find "Moses Cave", where it is believed Moses had to wait to receive the Ten Commandments.

Mount Sinai is 2,285 meters high and surrounded by higher peaks; it is located near the city of Saint Catherine, and Mount Catherine is the highest peak in Egypt.

The Andes, or Andean Mountains, is a mountain range that forms a continuous highland for 7000 km along the western edge of South America. The three highest national capitals in the world are located in the Andes: La Paz (Bolivia), Quito (Ecuador) and Bogota (Colombia).
10. Finnish city that gave name to an important electronics industry

Answer: Nokia

Nokia is a Finnish city, located in the province of Western Finland, near the city of Tampere. The first written reference to the city appears in documents dated from 1505.

This industrial city has achieved worldwide fame thanks to the company with the same name, a major cell phone manufacturer. The Nokia company was founded in 1865 by Fredric Idestam as a pulp mill. In 1967, Nokia with two other companies formed Nokia Corporation, a conglomerate with many companies including Nokia Telecommunications, which never produced its electronic products in the city of Nokia.

The city of Nokia, in addition of being an industrial center, attracts tourists for its spas, factory malls, waterways and events.
