The mountain is very popular with climbers, with over twenty-thousand people reaching the summit every year.

Mont Blanc is around 15,782 feet (4,810 metres) high, and was first conquered by Jacques Balmat and Michel-Gabriel Paccard on August 8, 1786.

The lavender fields of the Provence are stunning and the aroma delectable.
Lavender blooms around the last week of June to the beginning of August. Mid-July is the best time to visit. Be sure to take your camera and money (for the perfume shops).
