Scar becomes king of the Pride Lands through deceit and trickery. His paranoia and madness are examined in "The Madness of King Scar".

"The Lion King" began as an animated Disney film in 1994. The stage musical premiered on Broadway in 1997.

Based on the novel "The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant" by Douglass Wallop, the show opened on Broadway in 1955. Ray Walston reprised his role as Mr. Applegate for the film released in 1958.

"Matilda" opened in the West End Cambridge Theatre in 2011 after a trial run at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon.
