1. Found in Scottish mythology, which ocean dweller can change into a human while on land?

Answer: selkie

Known as "Seal Women", selkies could shed their seal-skins and emerge on land as humans. They took a big risk doing this, as they would have to leave their skins on the beach. If a human found the skins and hid them, the selkies would be forced to remain in their human forms until they found their lost skins.

Found in Greek mythology, Empousai were female vampires.

Mantine and Golurk are Pokémon characters.

Answer: thunderbird

The Native Americans believed that thunder and lightning was caused by the Thunderbird's beating wings.

The Devil Bird is found in Sri Lankan mythology while the Nachtkrapp and the Oozlum Bird are both found in European legends.
3. There were lots of unusual creatures in Greek mythology. Which one had the body of a man and the head of a bull?

Answer: minotaur

The story of the creation of the Minotaur says that King Minos of Crete asked the Sea God, Poseidon to send him a white bull as a sign that the Gods approved his Kingship. He promised to sacrifice the bull to the Gods but upon receiving it, he admired the bull so much that he kept it and sacrificed a different bull in its place.

Naturally, Poseidon was NOT happy and swiftly took revenge, asking Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, to afflict Minos's wife, Pasiphae, with lust for the animal, so that she became obsessed with the idea of having sex with the bull.

She asked the master craftsman, Daedalus, to build her a wooden cow and she soon became pregnant with the bull's offspring, giving birth to the Minotaur nine months later.
