At the beginning, she was trapped in an elevator with Rufus Sixsmith. While speaking to each other, she found out that he worked at Seaboard Corporation. Later, when she went to Seaboard to interview him, she quickly began to discover a terrible conspiracy. She met many people involved in the company. Finally, while avoiding multiple murder attempts, she was able to reveal to the world what was going on and save lives.
2. Which of these characters was wrongfully locked up in a retirement home by his brother?

Answer: Timothy Cavendish

That incident caused the book and Cavendish Publishing to make a lot of money. While Dermot was in jail, though, his brothers came to Timothy's house to get money they thought they deserved. However, Dermot had signed over the copyright of the book. The brothers demanded Timothy give them a certain amount of money by a certain time. He could not get the money though. When he told his brother, Denholme, about his situation, he sent him to Hull. Timothy took the train, with many issues, to the town and checked into what he thought was a hotel named Aurora House. But, when he woke in the morning, he found out it was a retirement home. When he tried to leave, he was told that he could not due to the papers he had signed when he checked in. After his first escape attempt, he had a stroke. He stayed in the home for several weeks until he was able to escape with three of his friends by stealing a car.

He thought she and the other Prescients were planning an attack on his village. Eventually, though, they became close. They climbed Mauna Kea together.
