Answer: colors

This is the song in the opening scene of the film. Cutler Beckett is hanging pirates to get them to sing the song; it's almost a call to arms to rally the nine pirate lords in times of duress. It is all part of a bigger plan.

Elizabeth Swann is the love interest of Will Turner and a true pirate, although she may not have started out that way in the first film. She is played by Kiera Knightley, the star of other films such as "Bend It Like Beckham" and "Domino". You can tell it's her in the boat by her build and the sound of her voice when she's singing.

Sao Feng is a merciless and cunning man, and he is played by the exceptional actor Chow-Yun Fat, who was most famous for his role in the martial arts movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". Sadly, Sao Feng never makes it to Shipwreck Cove to convene with the Brethren Court.

Answer: by being lost

This is said to Gibbs when he wonders how they find Davy Jones' Locker when it "supposedly" can't be found by regular means. I don't know how Barbossa knew this, but it led me to believe that he's been in a similar situation before. This is just one of the many confusing things Barbossa says in the film, yet somehow, it still makes sense. Captain Hector Barbossa is played by Geoffrey Rush, an amazing actor who's been in movies like "The King's Speech", "House on Haunted Hill" (the remake) and "Mystery Men".

Answer: No

It is, in fact, his nose that we first see and, if you listen, you can hear him sniffing before his nose appears; he's apparently sniffing out a peanut so he can eat it before someone else does. Jack is shown to have gone quite insane during his stay in Davy Jones' Locker, as shown by him seeing multiple clones of himself and actually shooting himself because of that same peanut from before.

Answer: whistling

He is never seen whistling in this scene. A group of Jacks are seen scrubbing the deck as ordered by another Jack, there is a Jack sitting on a bench and cozying up to a goat sitting at the other end of the bench and one Jack is standing in the middle of the deck not doing anything when he suddenly clucks and walks away, flapping his "wings" and another Jack stands up with an egg in his hand.

This is perhaps one of the funniest scenes in the movie and has one of my favorite lines in it: "Gentlemen, I wash my hands of this wierdness!" Johnny Depp's portrayal of Jack Sparrow is genius and his comedic timing is perfect.

Answer: down

After studying those charts, Jack sees a phrase that says that up is down. He didn't get this message at first, saying "Well that's just maddeningly unhelpful." He discovers the sunset in the pictures and he works out the riddle. Once he finally understands it, he rocks the ship (with the help of the others) to flip it upside down and get out of the spirit world.

Answer: arrogant

William had bargained the ownership of the Black Pearl with Sao Feng; if they rescued Jack from Davy Jones' Locker, Jack would be handed over to Sao Feng and William would be allowed to keep the ship to follow the Flying Dutchman and free his father, Bootstrap Bill Turner. Unfortunately, Elizabeth is an unexpected trade that was not agreed upon.

Answer: his necklace

It turns out that the item that hangs from the necklace is Sao Feng's "piece of eight", which will be needed when the Brethren Court and the Nine Pirate Lords convene. When Sao Feng makes Elizabeth captain and gives her the necklace, that automatically makes her one of the nine pirate lords AND also a member of the Brethren Court in Sao Feng's place.

Jack says this to Gibbs after he realizes that pirates are unimaginative when they have to name something; Gibbs tells the crew previously that the island, the cove and the town are all called Shipwreck and, once again, Jack makes a totally irrelevant comment that has nothing to do with their current situation.

Answer: El Rey del Mar

El Rey del Mar is a name I made up off the top of my head. Armand the Corsair is the Spanish pirate lord, Gentleman Jocard is the African lord and Sri Sumbajee is the Hindi lord, who has the other man speak for him until he stands and says, in a high-pitched voice that cracks me up, "And so, we shall go to war." It is extremely unexpected and the look on Jack's face is just icing on the cake.

Answer: Elizabeth, Barbossa and Jack

This scene shows them meeting on a small island to discuss a trade. Jack would go with Beckett and Davy Jones, and Will would go back with Elizabeth and Barbossa. You could tell by the expression on Jack's face that he is less than pleased to be going with Davy Jones.

Answer: the wind picks up

When Barbossa tries to free Calypso, his attempt is less than stellar. Who'd have thought that Ragetti would be the one to say the phrase so romantically and release her? It was very unexpected.

Answer: Bootstrap Bill

It is fitting for Will's father to be the one to cut out his heart since he has to become the new captain. Will's heart is locked away (literally) and the ship submerges and when it reappears, Will is good as new and the crew returns to normal and no longer look like deformed sea creatures, as is seen when Bootstrap Bill removed the starfish from his face.

Answer: Little Jack the Monkey

Little Jack is Barbossa's loyal pet and friend. He is named after our favorite captain and, like his namesake, he has an uncanny knack for finding trouble but he manages to find his way out. We still love him, though.
