The 1960 film "Pollyanna" is a sweet story. In the end, Aunt Polly learns to love little Pollyanna. Pollyanna is played by Hayley Mills. Polly Harrington is played by Jane Wyman. The quote on Pollyanna's locket is, "When you look for the bad in mankind expecting to find it, you surely will." It is one of the main themes of the movie.

But the line is not a real quote by Abraham Lincoln - Director/screenwriter David Swift made it up.

"The Parent Trap" delighted audiences in 1961. Maureen O'Hara and Brian Keith play estranged parents of identical twins, while Hayley Mills plays both twins. When the girls meet at camp and switch places, hijinks soon ensue as the girls strive to reunite their parents and break-up their father's relationship with a much younger woman, played by Joanna Barnes.

The 1998 remake starred Lindsay Lohan.

Maurice Chevalier and Wilfrid Hyde-White play two opposite old men - one a rich captain, the other a poor German schoolteacher - in this adventure movie from 1962. On their adventures, they are caught in an avalanche and a flood in South America. Their ship is stolen by pirates and they are captured by cannibals in New Zealand.

Burl Ives plays the beloved Osh Popham in this 1963 film. Most memorable are his songs "The Ugly Bug Ball" and "On the Front Porch". Other songs include "The Pink of Perfection" and "Femininity". Dorothy McGuire plays the mother of three children. Hayley Mills and Deborah Walley play Nancy and Julia, consecutively.

This silly mystery movie from 1965 showcases the talents of Roddy McDowall as Gregory Benson. The movie was remade in 1997, this time starring Christina Ricci. Interestingly, this was the last Disney movie Hayley Mills starred in, in the 1960's, and the last for Ricci in the 1990's.

Based on the novel by Mary Stewart, this murder mystery was actually filmed on location in Greece. Hayley Mills plays Nikky, Joan Greenwood plays Aunt Frances and Peter McEnery plays Mark Camford, Nikky's love interest and partner in the investigation.

John Mills, Dorothy McGuire, James MacArthur, Janet Munro, Tommy Kirk and Kevin Corcoran star in 1960's "Swiss Family Robinson". Some of the animals that the Robinsons have for pets are; two dogs, Duke and Turk, Rocky the elephant, Duchess the zebra, Clementine the ostrich and Lightning the donkey, as well as a pig and chickens.

Fred MacMurray and Jane Wyman play the parents on this 1962 sea adventure movie. Amy (Deborah Walley) is a lovestruck teenager, Elliot (Tommy Kirk) is eager to find love and Skipper (Kevin Corcoran), keeps getting lost. They also visit Monte Carlo, and find Europe very different from their home in Indiana.

Tommy Kirk plays Merlin, and his unusual adoptee is a chimpanzee named Stanley in "The Monkey's Uncle", from 1965. Annette Funicello plays Merlin's girlfriend Jennifer. She sings the title song, "The Monkey's Uncle". Popular singing group, The Beach Boys, are back up singers for the song.
