Answer: Severus Snape and Narcissa Malfoy

This scene shows Narcissa Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange at Severus Snape's house. Narcissa has come to tell Snape about some information that the Dark Lord has told her. This information is that Voldemort wants her son, Draco, to kill Albus Dumbledore. We don't find that out in this scene, but we know it at the end of the film. Snape makes the Unbreakable Vow with Narcissa to swear he'll look after and help Draco. If you break an Unbreakable Vow you die.

Answer: He uses dragon blood instead of human blood.

Horace Slughorn is in hiding from the Death Eaters. Harry and Dumbledore come to ask him to resume his old post as Potions Master at Hogwarts. Dumbledore really wants him back to get a memory from him. Harry and Dumbledore walk into the house he is hiding in.

It is trashed. Furniture is toppled, photographs are smashed, blood is dripping from the ceiling. Dumbledore tastes the blood and recognises it as dragon blood. He touches an armchair with his wand and it transfigures into Slughorn.

Answer: Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes

Fred and George's joke shop, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, is located in Diagon Alley. It is a huge success. It is very colourful. It sells everything, from Love Potions to Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder. The outside of the shop stands out, as half the alley is closed down.

Answer: Pink

Arnold, the pink Pygmy Puff, is riding on Ginny's shoulder on the Hogwarts Express. She is talking to Dean, her boyfriend. Luna Lovegood comes down the hallway selling copies of the Quibbler. She says that Arnold is lovely.

Answer: The Draught of Living Death

Slughorn gives instructions to his class to brew a potion called The Draught of Living Death. The student whose potion is the best wins a bottle of Felix Felicis, also known as Liquid Luck. Harry finds that the book he has borrowed from the school has writing scribbled all over it.

It belongs to the Half-Blood Prince. It gives different instructions on how to make The Draught of Living Death. Harry follows the Prince's instructions and wins Felix Felicis. Hermione seems very put out about this.

Answer: Cormac McLaggen

In this scene, the Gryffindor Quidditch team tryouts are being held. Ron is trying out for Keeper, but so is Cormac McLaggen. Before Ron tries out, he talks to Cormac, telling him that he has more of a Beater's build. Cormac then responds by catching a fly that was zooming around their head.

Hermione is watching in the stands and just as Cormac is about to catch the Quaffle, Hermione whispers, "Confundus!". This causes Cormac to fly the wrong way and miss the Quaffle altogether. Ron ends up getting the position.

Answer: Romilda Vane

Hermione tells Harry this information in the library. They are talking about Slughorn's Christmas party. Hermione says that he can't take just anyone. Harry tells her he'll invite someone he likes - someone cool. He ends up taking Luna Lovegood. Hermione says that she was under the impression that she was going with Ron, but since he was going out with Lavender Brown, she's had to make other arrangements. She takes Cormac McLaggen.
The Love Potion that Romilda give Harry is eaten by Ron by accident. He has to be taken to Slughorn for an antidote.

Answer: Bellatrix Lestrange and Fenrir Greyback

During the Christmas holidays, Death Eaters set The Burrow on fire. Ginny and Harry are about to kiss on the stairs, after Ginny ties Harry's shoelace. They break apart when they see fire outside. When they run outside, they see Bellatrix and Greyback. Bellatrix screams, "I killed Sirius Black!", and Harry runs after her. Ginny runs after Harry to save him, but just as she runs after him, a ring of fire surrounds The Burrow. Harry and Ginny run after them, and are soon caught up by Arthur Weasley, Remus Lupin and Tonks.

They hear an explosion back at the house and run. The Burrow is on fire. We don't know whether it's ever fixed.

Answer: Horace Slughorn

Dumbledore is giving Harry private lessons throughout the year. He is teaching him about Voldemort's past. He shows memories of him through the Pensieve. A Horcrux is an object that conceals a part of your soul. If you die, you will come back to life because of it. Slughorn thought that Tom was enquiring about them for academic purposes, but he really wanted to know how to make one.

Answer: Tentacula Leaves

Professor Slughorn is stealing Tentacula Leaves from a greenhouse at Hogwarts. When Harry comes down the hall he gets a fright, because he thinks Harry might be Professor Sprout. Harry has taken Felix Felicis and is now very confident and giddy. Tentacula Leaves are very valuable - Ten Galleons each to the right buyer. After this scene Harry and Slughorn go down to Hagrid's. It turns out that Hagrid's pet spider, Aragog, has died.

Answer: Sectumsempra

Sectumsempra is one of the Half-Blood Prince's spells. Harry finds out that it was Malfoy who cursed Katie Bell. He followed him up to a bathroom and confronts him. They then have a fight. While curses and jinxes are hitting everything, Harry hits Malfoy with Sectumsempra.

This causes blood to pour from cuts on Malfoy's chest. Snape walks in at that very moment and Harry runs away. Snape stops Malfoy by repeating the spell, "Vulnera Sanentur". It almost sounds like a song.

Answer: Ginny Weasley

Ginny and Harry hide the Half-Blood Prince's book in the Room of Requirement. Ginny tells Harry to close his eyes whilst she hides it, so he won't be tempted to come back and look for it. He obeys and she hides the book. When she comes back they kiss. Ginny says that they can keep that hidden up there too.

Answer: Drink a potion

Harry and Dumbledore go to a cave, in order to find a Horcrux. In the cave, there's a lake. The lake surrounds a small island with a stone basin on it. Harry and Dumbledore take a boat over to the basin. In the basin there's a green potion. Dumbledore has to drink it.

After the first swallow, he starts shouting in pain, begging not to have more. Harry makes him drink it all. At the bottom of the basin there's a locket. Dumbledore then tells Harry he needs water. Harry can't conjure water; it keeps evaporating. So, he takes some water from the lake.

But there were Inferi under it. Inferi are dead people magically brought to life. They drag Harry under but Dumbledore saves him.

Answer: Severus Snape

Dumbledore is supposed to be killed by Malfoy. He is to kill him on Voldemort's orders. Draco fails, but gets the Death Eaters into Hogwarts through the Vanishing Cabinet. Harry and Dumbledore have just arrived back to Hogwarts from the cave. Harry hides under the tower. Snape climbs up the steps.

He says, "Avada Kedavra!", and Dumbledore is lifted up in the air. He falls to the ground below, dead. All the Death Eaters celebrate by running through the Great Hall, smashing the tables and setting Hagrid's cabin on fire.

Answer: R.A.B

There is a note inside the locket. It is addressed to the Dark Lord. It says that they have taken the real Horcrux and this one is a fake. It also says that they would be long dead before he reads it. In the seventh and final book, we find out that R.A.B is Regulus Arcturus Black, Sirius' brother.
