At the beginning, a customer laughs at Jay for singing "Jungle Love" by Morris Day and The Time. Amongst various threats to the customer, Jay claims that "Purple Rain" is his favourite movie and that he and Bob based their entire lives on Morris Day and Jerome.

Hey kids, it was Mark Hamill! All the other three appeared, but in different roles. Interestingly, Damon was the only one among them who only appeared as one character (himself). Hamill appeared as himself and as the voice for the dog. Lee appeared as Banky Edwards and Brodie. Mosier appeared, as always, in a variety of minor roles including William the Idiot Manchild and the guy at the "Good Will Hunting 2" set.

Dunston is actually mentioned by Marshall Willenholly's friends at the FBI when they're making fun of him in a deleted scene. Listening to the audio commentary, one learns that the company that supplied the monkey who played Suzanne also supplied monkeys for Tim Burton's "Planet of the Apes".

There are also references to it in Jay's little paranoid speech.

This reference is one of many that can be seen as Jay and Bob run through the Miramax lot.
