1. In the beginning of the movie the dinosaur scared Larry. However the dinosaur was just trying to play a game. What game did the dinosaur want Larry to play with him?

Answer: fetch

Larry read on the instructions left by the security guard to play fetch with the dinosaur. He threw a large bone for him to chase. He then decided to tie a bone to a toy car and had the dinosaur chase that.
2. What was the first name of the main character?

Answer: Larry

Larry tried to make a name for himself as a self made millionaire. However, because none of his ideas took off he got a job as a security guard at the museum. He took the job as the security guard to make his son Nicky proud of him.
3. What kind of museum did Larry work in?

Answer: Natural History

Larry worked in a Natural History Museum. The museum was home to several cool wax statues, such as a dinosaur, Christopher Columbus, Mayan people, Civil War statues, and much more. They showed the name of the museum at the beginning of the movie where they showed the actors. The sign said Museum of Natural History.
4. What did the monkey steal from Larry?

Answer: Keys

Dexter the monkey stole the keys to the cage more than once. Dexter stole the keys the first time, and then Larry got smart and placed baby keys on his belt for Dexter to steal. The keys that Dexter kept stealing were the keys to the entire museum including all of the exhibits.
5. Was Larry married at the present time?

Answer: no

His wife was raising their child with another man who was a bond adjuster. The new guy in the picture was Don. Nicky the son was quite impressed with him and started to think less of Larry. In the beginning of the movie, Larry came to the house where Nick and his mother were living. The wife said that Nicky could not stay with Larry until he got a steady job.
6. What was the position that Larry had in the museum?

Answer: Security guard

Larry took over as the security guard to cut down on the expenses of having more than one security guard. As it turned out the security guards who were there already, were planning to steal an artifact that brought the statues to life. They thought that Larry would not suspect anything and they could pin the crime on him.
7. Throughout the movie, did Larry have his job threatened?

Answer: yes

The director told him he would be fired at least twice but he always kept his job. In one part of the movie the director told him he was fired after the exhibits kept getting messed up from the night before. It just so happened that Nicky was in the museum when the director fired him.

He was fired briefly, but he did get his job back. Nicky was not in the museum when his dad got his job back.
8. What happened to the exhibits if they escaped from the museum when the sun came up?

Answer: They were turned into dust.

Larry was warned to keep an eye on the exhibits because when they got out when the sun came up that they would turn to dust. One of the cave man escaped during the quest for the fire he saw, and ended up turning to dust.
9. Did Dick Van Patten play a security guard in the movie?

Answer: No

The security guard was Dick Van Dyke. The security guards'job was to make sure that the statues did not escape during the night when they came to life. We saw him and the other security guards at the end of the movie cleaning the museum.
Dick Van Patten was not in the movie. Dick Van Patten played the father on "Eight is Enough".
10. What was President Roosevelt sitting on during the movie?

Answer: horse

The President, portrayed by Robin Williams, was sitting on his horse. Larry wanted his help in catching the bad guys, but Roosevelt wanted Larry to realize that he had the courage inside of himself to be the hero his son knew he could be.
