The Go-Go's released "Head over Heels" backed with "Good for Gone" as a single to promote their third album "Talk Show"; however, "Good for Gone" was not recorded on the album. Ten years, seven months and 17 days later, "Good for Gone" was not entirely gone because The Go-Go's included it on their compilation album "Return to the Valley of The Go-Go's" in 1994.

Gina teamed with Kathy to write "Good for Gone" for her second lyrical credit on any release. Gina's first credit was teaming with Jane for "It's Everything but Party Time" on The Go-Go's previous album "Vacation."
