Answer: Love Me Do

The Beatles were formed in Liverpool in 1957 as The Quarrymen. Other names were Johnny and the Moondogs, The Silver Beetles and The Beatals. They became The Beatles in 1960. Their first song reached number 17 before their third single 'From Me To You' topped the UK charts. Amazingly all The Beatles 17 number ones were in the 1960s.
2. Pink Floyd first entered the UK charts in 1967. What was the song?

Not known for their chart success despite being one of the biggest bands in the world this song reached number 20. "See Emily Play" reached number six a couple of months later. They had a number one in 1979 with "Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)", their first chart success for 13 years. They could only manage Top 30 hits from then on.

Their number six record in 1976 'Blinded by the Light' was written by Bruce Springsteen.

The song 'You Don't Have To Say You Love Me' was her only number one in 1966. She had various hits in the 70s, 80s and 90s before her death in 1999.

The Brothers Gibb were born on the Isle Of Man but emigrated to Australia in 1958. Their first hit record 'New York Mining Disaster 1941' peaked at number 12 in the UK Charts in 1967. Their have had five number one hits: two in the 60s; two in the 70s; and one in the 80s.

The first was 'Massachusetts' in 1967. Popular belief is that 'BG' stands for Brothers Gibb but was actually given to them by their early mentors Bill Good and Bill Gates.
