Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Let's start from the very beginning, 1992's "Little Earthquakes", shall we? "Excuse me but can I be you for a while?"

Answer: Silent All These Years

".. My dog won't bite if you sit real still", she continues. The song was released as the fourth and final single from the album in the US, and as the fifth in the UK. It was re-released in 1997 as a fundraising promotional for Tori's Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (1-800-656-HOPE).
2. And, move as much as ten years ahead, to 2002's "Scarlet's Walk". "What do you plan to do with all your freedom?"

Answer: Scarlet's Walk

".. The new sheriff said, quite proud of his badge." It's the title track of the album, and very promising to be a single.
3. Let's go back one year to 2001's cover album "Strange Little Girls". "What reason do you need to die?"

Answer: I Don't Like Mondays

"... Die, die, ohhh... Tell me why I don't like Mondays." The song was originally played by Boomtown Rats and written by Bob Geldof. The picture that was taken of Tori in her "I Don't Like Mondays" outfit (she created a 'character' to each song, and dressed up like them) was also used as the album cover in Australia.
4. And, right back to "Scarlet's Walk". "Tell me, tell me, tell me... Why does someone have to, have to, have to lose?"

Answer: Sweet Sangria

The song strikingly ends here. Apparently, Mrs. Amos (she married her Mark in 1998) got the inspiration for the song from Mexico, which shows through in the song as she sings things as "Before sundown the Mexicans leave San Antone".
5. And, jumping back to 1996 and "Boys For Pele", she asks: "So, are you gay? Are you blue?"

Answer: Hey Jupiter

"... Thought we both could use a friend to run to..." It was released as the fourth single for the album in both the UK and the US. There was a wonderful video created for the song, which showed a dark-eyed Tori and a little girl in an apartment on fire.
6. And, two years later there's "From The Choirgirl". Hauntingly, Tori asks: "Why does there gotta be a sa-sa-sacrifice?"

Answer: iieee

This is the end of the chorus, and it also ends the entire song. Apparently, Tori got the inspiration for the song from such things as child kidnapping. She said that she wants to show the other side of the coin.
7. And, five years later "Scarlet's Walk" is there again. "How did it go so fast?"

Answer: Gold Dust

"... You'll say as we are looking back." This gorgeous song is the final track for the album, and is considered to be chosen as the second single. A video version for the song was featured on the "Scarlet's Walk" Limited Edition DVD.
8. Now, it's time for 1994's "Under The Pink". Tori sings: "And I wonder what's in a day... What's in your cake this time?"

Answer: Baker baker

"Time.. Thought I'd make friends with time..." This song was later featured as a live version, along with 1992's "Winter", on the 1999 "1000 Oceans" single and the "Glory Of The 80's" single, also released on 1999. The live version was recorded on the 1998 "Plugged" Tour.
9. Continuing on "Under The Pink", Tori asks: "Is all her power in her club sandwich?"

Answer: the waitress

This is end of the verse, and after this, the very powerful chorus begins. "Oh, I believe in peace, BITCH!" A live version of this haunting song is featured on the 1999 double album "To Venus And Back", which has a whole CD of live versions on it. It was also released on Part 2 of the "Past The Mission" single in 1994.
10. And, we're back in 2001. "Don't you wanna help daddy build a sand castle?"

Answer: '97 Bonnie And Clyde

This is the end of the verse, and the chorus begins. "Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust the two of us...." This very haunting song that tells a story about a man butchering and drowning her wife with his baby girl was originally played by Eminem, and it touched and shocked Tori deeply.

She decided to create the character for the song to be from the dead mother's point of view. The tagline for the character was "She wonders what her daughter will do". The taglines and stories of the characters were written by the cult writer and dear friend of Tori's, Neil Gaiman.
