Answer: Billy

"Billy, don't be a hero, don't be a fool with your life"
"Billy, don't be a hero, come back and make me your wife"
And as he started to go she said "Billy, keep your head lo-o-ow"
"Billy, don't be a hero, come back to me"

Sing along with me people!

In England and Australia we all know Paper Lace as the band to make this song popular, however, Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods were the first to release "Billy" in the United States.
4. "The Night Chicago Died" is a fictional story about the law and which real life gangster?

Answer: Al Capone

Whilst Paper Lace were an English band they seemed to love writing songs about America

Answer: Mrs Avery

Please Mrs. Avery, just want to tell her.
And the operator says "Forty cents more, for the next three minutes." Damn that operator.

Given that most of Australia is suffering through a drought this song could be retitled as "it never rains in southern hemisphere"

Growing up I thought this song to be about an interacial relationship, however as an adult it dawned on me that it was about adultery.
8. New Zealand/Australian band Dragon were obviously sick of the cooler autumn weather in Australia and wanted to be taken to "The April Sun in ..."?

Answer: Cuba

I loved growing up in the 70s. Making up dances and singing into the hairbrush with my Sister, Cousins and really cool Aunties - this was one of our favourites.
9. "Freedoms just another word for nothin left to lose, And nothin aint worth nothin but its free, Feelin good was easy, lord, when (who) sang the blues" Who exactly 'sang the blues'?

Answer: Bobby

"Me and Bobby McGee" and performed by Roger Miller in 1969, Kris Kristofferson in 1970, Janis Joplin in 1971 and can you believe Grateful Dead in the same year. But Janis' version is still the most popular of all.
10. Quirky one to finish - this song starts with a voice stating "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is captain Tobias Wilcock welcoming you aboard Coconut Airways flight 372" where is this flight heading?

Answer: Barbados

This was pretty much a clasical 'one hit wonder' for the band known as "Typically Tropical" however a 'cover' was released by the Vengaboys in 1999 who did actually head to Ibiza.
