Answer: Derrek Lee

Derrek Lee had a breakout season for the Chicago Cubs batting .335. Lee also led the league in doubles and slugging percentage. Michael Young led the American League batting .331. Albert Pujols finished at .330 good for second in the NL, while Ichiro had a batting average of .303, finishing 23rd in all of baseball.
2. The Royals finished with the worst record in baseball. Which one of their pitchers lost 17 games?

Answer: Zack Greinke

Greinke started with a bad record and it didn't get much better finishing 5-17, 17 being the most losses in the American league. Jose Lima wasn't much better with a 5-16. Runelvys won a few more games than the rest, but finished with a record of 8-14. Carrasco had a higher win percentage than the rest, but still finished below .500, with a record of 6-8.
3. Which player finished with the most base on balls?

Answer: Brian Giles

Without Barry Bonds playing a full season, Giles of the San Diego Padres won the title with 119 walks. Abreu was second with 117, Dunn was third with 114, and Giambi led the American league with 108.
4. Stealing a base is always a risk. Who got caught the most?

Answer: Scott Podsednik

Scott Podsednik of the Chicago White Sox got caught 23 times, but still managed to steal 59 bases. Pierre didn't make it 17 times. Brady Clark tried to steal a base 23 times and got caught 13 times. While Roberts was only busted 12 times.

Answer: 4

Dontrelle Willis of the Flordia Marlins had the most wins with 22. This is the first time in in his career he reached this milestone. Chris Carpenter of the St. Louis Cardnals and Bartolo Colon of the Angles had 21. Colon was the only pitcher in the American League to reach 20 wins. Roy Oswalt of the Astros finish with 20 wins. Oswalt reached this milestone on the last game of the season beating the Chicago Cubs.
6. The old saying in baseball is that walks come back to haunt you. Who walked the most batters?

Answer: Scott Kazmir

Kazmir of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays had the most with 100, but finished with a record of 10-9. He was the only pitcher on the list with a winning record. Kip Wells was second with 99 walks, and finished with the most losses in baseball, losing 18 games.
7. Which team blasted the most home runs?

Answer: Texas Rangers

Texas hit 260 home runs blowing away the competition. New York Yankees finished second with 229, Cincinnati led the NL with 219. The White Sox just missed the 200-mark hit 199.
8. How many team won 100 games?

Answer: 1

Only the St. Louis Cardnals reached the 100-win milestone. They finished with exactly 100. The Chicago White Sox were second with 99 wins.
9. How many teams lost 100 games in the season?

Answer: 1

Only the Kansas City Royals reached this, with 106 losses. Second most losses was 95 by three teams, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, and Colorado.
10. Which player hit the most home runs?

Answer: Andruw Jones

Jones was the only player to reach the 50 home runs in the season, as he finished with 51. This set a record for home runs in a single season by a player for the Atlanta Braves. Rodriguez finished with 48, Ortiz with 47, and Lee with 46.
