Keefe, selected by the Lightning 47th overall in the 1999 entry draft, was family ties to P.E.I. but was born in Brampton, as was 2002 1st overall draft pick Rick Nash.

Answer: Winthrop, Ma.

DiPietro, the moody but somewhat arrogant goaltender selected first overall by the New York Islanders in 2000, was born in Winthrop, Ma. Islanders GM Mike Milbury gave up goaltending prodigy Roberto Luongo to Florida just to select DiPietro.
3. Where was 2002-03 Phoenix Coyotes rookie sniper Branko Radivojevic born?

Answer: Piestany, Slovakia

Radivojevic, drafted 93rd overall by the Colorado Avalanche in 1999, was born in Piestany. Radivojevic failed to sign with the Avalanche, and was signed by Phoenix on June 19, 2001. He has proved to be a bargain.

Ray, who in 2003 spent 14 seasons with the Sabres, was born in Stirling, Ontario. Ray, who has a long-running feud with Toronto fan favourite Tie Domi, has racked up over 3000 penalty minutes in his career.
