1. Which sports tournament saw the German players Boris Becker and Michael Stich in a captivating final, with Stich ultimately leaving the grass as the winner?

Answer: The Wimbledon tennis championship in 1991

Boris Becker, having won the Wimbledon tournament several times before, went into this final as the clear favorite, but Stich ultimately defeated him in three straight sets 6-4, 7-6, 6-4. This underdog victory remained Stich's only Wimbledon singles final appearance and his only Grand Slam singles tournament victory. He won the Wimbledon Doubles in 1992 with John McEnroe.

Answer: Soccer match

Stamford Bridge the home ground of Chelsea Football club is situated close to the Kings Road, one of the most fashionable areas of London. Chelsea have played their home games there since their formation in 1905. Over the years several other sports have been played at "The Bridge", including speedway, American football and rugby union.

Answer: Usain Bolt

Bolt won the 100m for the third consecutive Olympics. No man had ever won three medals in the event before, let alone three gold. Gatlin, the 2004 Olympic champ, was second in the Rio games and third in the 2012 London games. He didn't compete in 2008 because he was suspended for taking illegal drugs.

Answer: Joe Louis

Joe Louis (1914-1981) was the world heavyweight boxing champion in 1937, knocking out 'Cinderella Man' James J. Braddock in the 8th round. Winnipeg's football team was nicknamed the 'Blue Bombers' after Winnipeg Tribune writer Vince Leah wrote "these are the Blue Bombers of Western football" (at that time they were known as the Winnipeg Bombers).

Bull riding is one of the most popular rodeo sports in the United States. In order to receive a qualifying score, a cowboy must stay on the bull for eight seconds, and must not touch the bull with his free hand. Points are awarded both for the cowboy's ride and the bull's performance. In 1994, a movie called "8 Seconds" was made about the life and death of rodeo legend Lane Frost.

The fact that the Green Monster is so tall is made up for by the fact that it's much closer to home plate than most stadium walls. It is only 310 feet away at the farthest point. Before the 2003 season, seats were added on top of the Green Monster. Due to the high demand for those seats, tickets were hard to get.

Answer: Harness racing

A sulky is the name for a lightweight cart that has only two wheels and a seat for the driver. It usually does not have a body and is used in harness racing. While they are usually associated with horse racing, they can also be used to race dogs and goats.

Thibaut Courtois, goalkeeper, of Belgium was the best goalkeeper at the 2018 World Cup. His two children live in Madrid with their mother and thus he wanted for family reasons to return to Madrid. He had played between 2011 and 2014 in Madrid for the Atletico Madrid.

Answer: The Netherlands

The history of the Elfstedentocht goes back to 1909. It is held in the relatively rural province of Friesland in the north part of The Netherlands, and is only held if the mayors of all eleven cities certify that the ice is thick enough to hold the event safely. The event was held fifteen times in the twentieth century.
