Answer: Minute Maid Park

Homeof the Houston Astros (formerly Enron Field and Astros Stadium), it opened in 2000. It has a 242-foot high retractable roof. The Astros lost 1-4 in their first regular season game here to Philadelphia on April 7th, 2000. Minute Maid Park features a closed-captioning board for the hearing impaired.

Answer: Kauffman Stadium

It opened in 1973. The waterfountain is 322-feet wide. The Royals lost the first post-season game played there on October 9th, 1976. They won the next day defeating the Yankees 7-3. On July 2nd, 1993, the name was changed from Royals Stadium to Kauffman Stadium, and on April 7th, 1995 grass replaced the artificial turf.

Shea Stadium opened on April 17th, 1964. The first victory there for the Mets came two days later against Pittsburgh. Shea Stadium served as a relief center after the terrorist acts on September 11th, 2001. The Mets played the previous 2 years at the Polo Grounds.

Answer: Fenway Park

That tall green wall is commonly known as "The Green Monster." It opened April 20th, 1912. In 1907-the team name was changed from Pilgrims to Red Sox. After 2 rain-delays, Fenway Park hosted its first professional game, when the Sox beat the New York Highlanders (later known as the Yankees) 7-6 in 11 innings.

The park's dimensions were intended to keep non-paying customers out of the park.
5. When playing in the outfield here, players have to be aware of where they are, or they could run into a brick wall covered with ivy. Where is this?

Answer: Wrigley Field

The home of the Chicago Cubs was built in 1914 to house the Chicago Federals (then Whalers) of the newly-formed Federal League (which folded after 2 season of competing against the two major leagues). It is the only remaining Federal League ballpark. Babe Ruth's "called shot" happened there in the 1932 World Series.

The original vines were purchased and planted in 1937 byy Billy Veeck. Ernie Banks' 500th career homerun happened there on May 12th, 1970 against Atlanta. The first National League game played there was on April 20th, 1916 when the Cubs beat the Reds 7-6 in 11 innings.

The first night game was played on August 8th, 1988 vs. Philadelphia and was rained out after 3 1/2 innings. The next night, the Cubs beat the Mets 6-4.
