Answer: Dodgers

The 1963 Los Angeles Dodgers were arguably one of the greatest teams in baseball. Under the helm of Walter Alston, the Dodgers won another World Series, this time against the Yankees. Led by left-handed great Sandy Koufax, he won his first of three Cy Young and Triple Crown awards before retiring in 1966.
2. This team in 1935 saw such names as Bill Dickey, Frank Crosetti, Tony Lazzeri, Earle Combs, and Lefty Gomez. Which team was this that finished second in the American League?

Answer: Yankees

1935 was the first season for the Yankees without the great Babe Ruth, who packed his bags to become a Boston Brave. The Yankees did still have Lou Gehrig, who led the team in batting, home runs, and RBIs. They finished three games behind the AL pennant winning Tigers.
