Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What kind of food did Mrs. Kane suggest ordering for dinner?

Answer: pizza

She was getting in the shower and told her sons to order, mentioning that she didn't want pepperoni on hers. While she was in the shower, though, her older son Gary got a phone call and went out. 12 hours later, he was found in the woods in his underwear.
2. What was written on Gary's back when he was found?

Answer: "He is one."

It was written in black Magic Marker on Gary and others' backs. The local sheriff thought the attacks were being perpetrated by the members of the Church of the Red Museum and took Scully and Mulder to one of their meetings.
3. After deciding to stay in town, what kind of restaurant did Scully and Mulder go to?

Answer: Barbecue

They went to Clay's BBQ and Scully, looking well sated, commented that it would be hard for the Church of the Red Museum to win followers with such good ribs in town.
4. Richard Odin invited Scully and Mulder into his house when they first arrived.

Answer: false

When they tried to enter, he told them they couldn't come it. Scully said they could get a warrant and he said it wouldn't matter because he'd prevent it on a religious basis, saying that meat-eaters could not enter the building that housed his kitchen. Mulder, realizing he was probably right, asked Odin to step out onto the porch so that he and Scully could arrest him.
5. What did Rick, the sheriff's son, throw on the members of the Church of the Red Museum when they were standing on the town street talking to the townspeople?

Answer: cow's blood

Why is it that people always feel compelled to provoke peaceful protesters? The Church members kept their cool, though, and Sheriff Mazeroski took Rick away before things could go any farther.
6. What was Doctor Larson's briefcase full of?

Answer: money

There were stacks of pristine bills and, in one of the pockets, a vial. Scully and Mulder sent the vial off for analysis to try and figure out what the doctor was up to.
7. Who discovered the secret room in the Kane apartment?

Answer: Mulder

Mulder saw the light hitting the far wall as it came through the hole in the mirror. When he broke the mirror, they found a small room with a video camera and a number of homemade videos. This led them to Gerd Thomas, the building's old owner.
8. Gerd Thomas kidnapped the kids and killed Rick Mazeroski.

Answer: false

While he confessed to kidnapping (and videotaping) the kids, he insisted that he had never killed anyone. He told the agents that he'd loved the kids.
9. Where were the kids taken for safety?

Answer: Church of the Red Museum

None of the members of the church suffered the side effects of being injected with alien DNA, because none of them consumed the animal products that were being used to widely distribute the substance. Scully concluded that the church members were being used as a control group for whoever was conducting the study.
10. Who killed the man responsible for the murders?

Answer: Sheriff Mazeroski

The man had Mulder locked in the slaughterhouse and was going to light the place on fire when Scully, Mazeroski, and the other local cops arrived. When the man wouldn't back down, Mazeroski shot him, probably still affected by his own son's murder.
