Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What news did Agent B.J. Morrow need to give Agent Brian Tillman?

Answer: she was pregnant

He was too busy talking on the phone to talk with her, so she wrote it on a note. He wrote her back, giving her an address of a motel where they could meet that night to talk.
2. What did Detective Morrow use to dig up the body?

Answer: her hands

Because she found the FBI badge, the case made its way onto Scully and Mulder's desk. After telling Scully that he was confused about how Morrow had managed to know where to dig without a neon sign pointing the way, Scully surmised that they would be traveling to Aubrey. Mulder confirmed this, confessing that he had also always been fascinated by women named "B.J.". Judging by the look on her face, Scully knew precisely why that name would interest Mulder.
3. Scully knew before Mulder that Detective Morrow and Lieutenant Tillman were having an affair.

Answer: True

Working with the evidence, Scully suggested that Morrow had been in the field because she was meeting Tillman in the motel. Mulder was surprised and dubious of the suggestion. When Mulder asked how she knew, Scully replied simply, "A woman senses these thing."
4. What word was carved on Chaney's chest?

Answer: brother

The "slash killer" being investigated in the 1940s by Chaney and his partner Ledbetter had carved the word "sister" into his victims' chests, but the word in Chaney's chest was "brother". Morrow looked at the body and almost immediately figured this out, but the agents didn't have much time to be surprised before Tillman interrupted them and they discovered there had been another attack.
5. Which of Morrow's parents had been a cop?

Answer: father

Scully later suggested that Morrow's connection to the events was due to cryptonesia: that her father had worked on the case when she was a young girl and she'd just suppressed the information until now.
6. What did Mulder suggest the shapes from Detective Morrow's dream might be from?

Answer: 1939 World's Fair

He said that the shapes she saw were the symbols of the 1939 World's Fair and were available on postcards all over Times Square in New York City. He later saw the shapes in a picture hanging on the wall of Mrs. Thibodeaux's stairway.
7. What did Harry Cokely call Scully?

Answer: Little Sister

She seemed a bit disturbed by the empty endearment, knowing that he'd carved it into his victims in his youth.
8. Who did Morrow say had attacked her?

Answer: Harry Cokely

She said she'd seen his reflection in the mirror and he'd looked just like in his mug shot. The problem, of course, was that the mug shot was from the 1940s, and he didn't look the same anymore.
9. Mrs. Thibodeaux was the surviving victim of one of Cokely's attacks in the 1940s. The attack consisted only of his carving a word into her chest.

Answer: false

While he did carve "sister" into her chest, that was not the full extent of the attack. He also apparently raped her, as nine months later she gave birth to his child, which she gave up for adoption.
10. Who was responsible for the present-day attacks?

Answer: Detective Morrow

She was Cokely's granddaughter. Mulder theorized that the genetic traits that made Cokely so murderous had skipped a generation and landed in Morrow, making her an embodiment of Cokely's tendencies. As soon as Cokely died, Morrow's altered state subsided.
