"Rastro" belonged to George Jetson on the Hanna Barbera animated sitcom "The Jetsons" which ran from 1962 to 1963. George, Jane, Judy, Elroy and their talking dog Astro lived in the Skypad Apartments of the future, where just about everything was automated, including their maid, Rosie. George worked a couple of days a week at Spacely Sprockets while Jane, his wife, was a homemaker.
The show was resurrected in the 1980s and aired until 1987. Don Messick voiced Astro who was a Great Dane.
2. The Brady Bunch

"The Brady Bunch" (1969-1974) was the "story of a lovely lady" and "a man named Brady" who got together with their six kids, forming one of television's first blended families. On the earlier episodes of "The Brady Bunch", the large family had a pet dog named Tiger.
He was a mixed breed, perhaps part bearded collie. Sadly, the dog, whose real name was also Tiger, was run over by a car. They tried, unsuccessfully to replace him, but he never appeared after the first two seasons.
3. My Three Sons

Tramp, on "My Three Sons", was a Briand, a breed dating back to the 14th century. Briands are known for their exceptional hearing and were bred for hunting. "My Three Sons" ran from 1960 to 1972. During that time, 'Bub' O'Casey was replaced by Uncle Charlie; the oldest son left and they adopted Chip's friend Ernie (real life brothers Stanley and Barry Livingston), but through all of life's changes, they always had Tramp.
4. Jonny Quest

Another animated canine was the bulldog Bandit on "Jonny Quest" (1964-1965). Bandit was a small white dog with mask-like coloration around his eyes, hence the name. Research Scientist Dr. Benton Quest, his son Jonny, Jonny's tutor and bodyguard Race Bannon, the orphan Hadji and Bandit traveled around investigating strange phenomena and helping to thwart evil-doers like Dr. Zin.
The cartoon was a Hanna Barbera creation.
5. Green Acres

On "Green Acres" (1965-1971), when Lisa Douglas was forced to move form New York City to Hooterville, she took her pampered pooch, Mignon, with her. Mignon was a Yorkshire terrier. Mignon was often overshadowed by the other animal residents, including Eleanor the cow, Alice the chicken and, of course, Arnold, Fred Ziffel's TV loving pet pig. Arnold was treated like a son, and was smarter than some of Hooterville's other citizens.
6. The Jimmy Dean Show

Did you know that before "The Muppet Show" in 1976, Rowlf, the dog, an original muppet, appeared in 1962 in Purina dog food commercials? The following year Rowlf was elevated to singer Jimmy Dean's puppet sidekick on "The Jimmy Dean Show" which aired from 1963 to 1966. Rowlf is a brown colored dog of unspecified breed, although part Corgi. Created by the gifted genius Jim Henson, Rowlf was also one of the main characters on "The Muppet Show" where he played the piano.
7. The Andy Griffith Show

Deputy Barney Fife's dog Blue appeared on "The Andy Griffith Show" (1960-1968). Blue is a bloodhound (appropriately) who Barney tries to add to the Mayberry police force by training him to fight crime. The results are both comical and expected. Blue was introduced in a memorable 1964 episode called "Barney's Bloodhound".
In real life, Pluto, the dog who played Blue, was already a veteran actor, having appeared on "Hazel", "Bonanza", "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and as one of the many 'critters' on "The Beverly Hillbillies".
8. The Beverly Hillbillies

Another bloodhound, Duke, was owned by Jed Clampett on "The Beverly Hillbillies" (1962-1971). Jed and his kinfolk brought Duke from their former home in the Ozarks to their posh mansion in Beverly Hills, CA. Duke had been a hunting dog 'back home' but, apparently, after Jed struck oil, i.e., "Texas tea", Duke was allowed to rest on his laurels and live a life of leisure.
9. Petticoat Junction

On "Petticoat Junction" (1963-1970), Hooterville's Uncle Joe had a black and tan dog named Dog. Dog was an adorable mixed-breed, possibly part Miniature Poodle, Cocker Spaniel and Schnauzer. He appeared on six of the show's seven seasons. His real name was Higgins and he won a Patsy Award for Best Canine in 1966 for his performance on the sitcom. Higgins also guest-starred on "Green Acres", was featured on the cover of "TV Guide" and later starred in "Benji" in 1974.
10. I Dream of Jeannie
Answer: Djinn Djinn
Djinn Djinn belonged to the genie Jeannie on "I Dream of Jeannie" which aired from 1965 to 1970. Djinn Djinn was an Australian born Labradoodle. He belonged to Jeannie before she got trapped in her bottle and they got separated. Like Jeannie, Djinn Djinn had magical powers like invisibility but, unlike Jeannie, he disliked men in uniform.
It was during season three that Mrs. Bellows found the pooch and tried to adopt him until he started terrorizing the NASA astronauts. Finally the long lost pet wound up back with his original owner.
