Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "Cutthroat Kitchen", it is rare to see a chef pay over $15,000 for an auction item. But, it has been done. In what season 1 episode did this first occur?

Answer: "Tac'o the Town"

In the third episode "Tac'o the Town", DJ Chef pays $16,000 to steal an item from an opponent. All he takes is one can of chipotles from Chef Sevan!
2. What is the very first prep station swap ever auctioned off on "Cutthroat Kitchen"?

Answer: The TV Tray

The TV Tray prep station is the original, first appearing in the first season finale, "S'more Sabotage."
3. Who was the winner of the season 3 episode "Well, Hot Clam!"?

Answer: Chef Chris

Chef Chris won this episode. He originally held the record for the most money paid for a sabotage ($16,200.) He walked away with $6,800.
4. In which episode did the Mini Kitchen NOT appear?

Answer: "I Can't Believe It's Not Udder"

The Mini Kitchen has appeared in all of the incorrect answers and the "Superstar Sabotage Finale". "I Can't Believe It's Not Udder" is one of many episodes that the kitchen has not appeared in, although it DID debut Sally the Cow.
5. Which of the following is NOT a utensil swap?

Answer: Chain Saw

So far, "Cutthroat Kitchen" has never replaced anyone's utensils for a chain saw. All the others here have been done.
6. The highest winning price record for a sabotage has been beaten a lot. Which of the following sabotages has NOT held this record?

Answer: High Stakes Station

The Glob of Melted Tools has the highest price at $19,600. The North & South Kitchen & Ultimate Grill Apron originally DID hold this record, at $18,100 and $16,200. The High Stakes Station has never held this record, but it did appear in the same episode as the Glob of Melted Tools.
7. Which of the following prep stations has the lowest price paid for it?

Answer: Spinning Prep Station

The Spinning Station is first with a winning of only $1,000. Next is the Sea Sickness, the Airplane Seats, and finally, with a winning price of $13,500, the High Stakes.
8. Which "Cutthroat Kitchen" episode has the record of lowest winnings?

Answer: "Tso Good"

"Tso Good" has this record with a winning of only $1,300. "It's Not Delivery, It's Old Delivery" did hold this record with $1,400 but it was beat by this. "Alton and the Chocolate Factory" has the very first chef to spend ALL of her money, yet she didn't win. "The Cone Ranger" has the record for BIGGEST win with all of the money and is, so far, the only episode to have this.
9. If anyone ever gets caught in the pantry after the 60 second shop time, what is the punishment?

Answer: Lose an ingredient out of their basket

This has only happened twice in season 1. Both times, Alton removed an ingredients from the chefs' baskets. The options "Cannot bid in the auction" & "Lose 5 minutes of the cooking time" have both been done as separate auction items. No one in "Cutthroat Kitchen" history has ever lost $2,500 of their money at a time unless buying an auction item for that price.
10. What is the name of the very first winner on "Cutthroat Kitchen"?

Answer: Chef Frankie

Chef Frankie is always known as the VERY FIRST. Gwen was the first female winner, DJ was the first chef to hold the lowest win record with $2,000, and Palmeri was the winner of the episode "Wing It".
