Before auditioning for "Canadian Idol", Coulter worked as a cashier. She is from in London, Ontario. She made it all the way to the top six, singing rock songs like "American Woman" (The Guess Who), "Gimme Shelter" (The Rolling Stones), and showing a more softer side with "Crazy" (Patsy Cline), and "Crying" (Roy Orbison).

Sarah Loverock is from Gibsons, British Columbia. She made it to top nine after singing songs such as "She Talks To Angels" (Black Crowes) and "Life Is A Highway" (Tom Cochrane).

Her first album "Somewhere Else" was released in stores on November 14, 2006, which contains her debute single "Meant To Fly", written by Chantal Kreviazuk, Raine Maida, and Gaby Moreno.

Durst hails from Goderich, Ontario. She was the first to leave the top ten after singing "It Makes No Difference" (The Band).

"Steffi D," Zach Werner said, "will probably be the most remembered person from the show." He may be right. Known for her trademark bow, she made it to top six after singing "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'" (Nancy Sinatra). She was carried on one of the judges' shoulders after her elimination.

The 20-year-old from Rockglen, Saskatchewan, reached the number four spot. Tyler sang "Mama, I'm Coming Home" (Ozzy Osbourne), "Old Time Rock 'n' Roll (Bob Seger), "Too Bad" (Nickelback), "Paint It Black" (The Rolling Stones), and "Suspicious Minds" (Elvis Presley).
