Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Greedy" - Ariana Grande

Answer: Valentina

Airing midway through season nine, this lip sync was considered one of the most shocking in "Drag Race" history as most considered Valentina to be a front-running competitor. Facing off against Nina Bo'Nina Brown after an acting challenge, Valentina commenced the Ariana Grande song with a mask covering her face, and when she refused to remove it, she was called out by the judges and the song was restarted.

When the queens found out she didn't know the words, elimination was obvious. Valentina would find redemption singing Grande's "Into You" in "All-Stars 4", winning against Monet X Change in the second episode.
2. "Whip My Hair" - Willow Smith

Answer: Roxxxy Andrews

Seen in season five, this lip sync between Roxxxy Andrews and Alyssa Edwards went on to be one of the earliest double saves of the show because of the energetic dance stylings of the song. The lip sync also popularized the 'wigs on wigs on wigs' concept as seen when Roxxy Andrews pulled off her runway wig to reveal yet another wig that better facilitated whipping hair back and forth. Following the lip sync, Roxxxy, overcome with emotions, told the judges and queens that her mother left her and her sister at a bus stop. Roxxxy and Alyssa both returned for "All-Stars 2".

This song was also the first of three lip syncs in a row for Alyssa.
3. "Pound the Alarm" - Nicki Minaj

Answer: Monet X Change

This early lip sync from season ten followed an apocalyptic 'future of drag' ball and came at a time when there were still many girls in the competition. The energy of the song wasn't lost on Monet X Change and Dusty Ray Bottoms though; the former performed a jump-splits fake-out that impressed the judging panel and kept her in the game. Monet would return for two more lip syncs in season ten and then three more lip syncs for her legacy in "All-Stars 4".
4. "So Emotional" - Whitney Houston

Answer: Sasha Velour

Showing up in the season nine finale, this song marked the pinnacle for Sasha Velour, one of the four finalists, who never competed in a lip sync for her life during the competition. She was, perhaps, underestimated by opponent Shea Coulee. During the performance, Sasha, who wore gloves and a large wig, pulled each element off to reveal rose petals, creating a dramatic effect that drove the crowd wild.

She won the competition later that night after a final lip sync against Peppermint to Whitney's "It's Not Right But It's Okay", though it was much less popular a performance than the first.
5. "Bang Bang" - Jessie J (feat. Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj)

Answer: Aquaria

In this lip sync for the crown, Aquaria faced off in the first-ever three-way live lip sync to "Bang Bang" by Jessie J, going head to head against Eureka O'Hara and Kameron Michaels. While the stage was crowded for the girls in this high-intensity number, Aquaria turned it out with minimal props (she shot off two small confetti guns to great effect) and kept the focus on herself leading RuPaul to make her the winner of the season.
6. "Shut Up and Drive" - Rihanna

Answer: Alyssa Edwards

This "All-Stars 2" lip sync ended up being one of the most talked about because it was performed by two eliminated queens making their strongest attempts to get back into the competition. Wearing opposing black and white outfits, Alyssa Edwards and Tatianna were both asked to return to the competition based on their performances and both were allowed to eliminate a competitor each. Both ended up choosing to send home controversial contestant Phi Phi O'Hara.
7. "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" - Aretha Franklin

Answer: Latrice Royale

In one of the more obvious results in lip sync history, this season 4 performance featured Latrice Royale making quick work of returning queen Kenya Michaels who, eliminated five weeks earlier, was asked to return to the show. She was subsequently eliminated in the same week. Latrice was likely the only person able to turn out the emotional Aretha Franklin number of the remaining queens, doing so by standing still on the stage and using gravitas to drive the win. Kenya, instead, frolicked onstage like a ballerina.

The catch was that both queens walked the runway with pregnancy bellies.
8. "Freaky Money" - RuPaul ft. Big Freedia

Answer: Shangela

This performance was the final one before the finale in "All-Stars 3" and it pitted Shangela against eventual winner Trixie Mattel, both of whom planned to send home Morgan McMichaels for her performance in an acting challenge. The lip sync would have been somewhat by-the-numbers if not for Shangela's push into comedy. Wearing a fat suit and heels, Shangela performed with high energy.

Her fat suit idea would be mimicked by Trinity the Tuck in "All-Stars 4" to much less praise.
9. "Come Rain or Come Shine" - Judy Garland

Answer: Naomi Smalls

In one of the later lip syncs of "All-Stars 4", and perhaps the most shocking to fans and the queens, Naomi Smalls and Monique Heart performed this Judy Garland song on the main stage after a Judy Garland-themed makeover challenge with the queens' own best friends. Naomi's emotive and frenetic performance granted her her first win and she used it to send home frontrunner Manila Luzon who, to that point, won the most challenges while avoiding the bottom of the competition.

It was the first instance in the season where a queen was sent home for being too strong.

It was later revealed that Monique also would've sent Manila home.
10. "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany

Answer: Ginger Minj

This episode of the seventh season featured all previously eliminated queens returning for a shot at a return to the competition by pairing up with a still-competing queen to create a conjoined-twin look. Trixie Mattel was brought back, but Ginger Minj and Jaidynn Diore Fierce were in the bottom two and forced to lip sync with their partners to "I Think We're Alone Now".

The performance turned out to be hilarious; Ginger Minj, conjoined to her twin (Sasha Belle) by the breasts, performed a fake mastectomy onstage to stand out to the judges.

She would go on to compete in the finale.
