"The Proof In The Pudding" Trivia Quiz

This is one of my favorite episodes because it is different from most "Bones" episodes and Booth kicks butt in the episode.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the beginning of the episode, Cam was frantically running around holding an object to find out who it belonged to. What object was Cam holding?

Answer: A pregnancy test

Cam found the pregnancy test in the bathroom that only she, Bones, Angela and Michelle used. Cam was afraid that her 16 year old daughter, Michelle, was pregnant.
2. Who ended up being the owner of the object that Cam was trying to find out who it belonged to?

Answer: Angela

Angela denied the pregnancy test was hers at first because her ex-fiance, Hodgins, was in the room and she wanted to tell Wendell, the father, first.
3. What was the name of the man leading the group of men who took over the Jeffersonian?

Answer: Mr. White

Mr. White was the only introduction he would give for himself, even when Booth spoke with him in the parking garage. Booth appeared to think that Mr. White was not really his name.
4. What organization did the group who took over the Jeffersonian say they worked for?

Answer: General Services Administration

Cam was surprised when they said they worked for the General Services Administration and remarked that were "the people they ordered paper from".
5. What particulate did Hodgins find that made him believe that the bones the group brought to the Jeffersonian belonged to JFK?

Answer: Pink wool

Jackie Kennedy wore a pink wool outfit when JFK was shot. Hodgins reminded everyone that she never left his (JFK's) side.
6. How did Booth enter the Jeffersonian?

Answer: He shot through the glass door

Booth tried to get the squints's attention but they were too busy talking to notice him. Booth shot through the glass door and was tackled by the guards after entering the lab. When Mr. White asked how Booth got past the guards, Booth said his sniper training taught him how to walk very quietly.
7. The Jeffersonian had the ACTUAL rifle that Lee Harvey Oswald used to shoot JFK in storage.

Answer: False

The Jeffersonian had an exact duplicate of the rifle that was made by the FBI.
8. Where was the secret passage way that Bones and Sweets used to get the rifle from storage?

Answer: Janitor's closet

Booth, Sweets and Hodgins all entered the janitor's closet but Hodgins quickly came back out with a mop so the guards would not be suspicious. Hodgins learned about the secret passageway from one of his conspiracy friends.
9. What did Hodgins say when he found out Angela was pregnant with Wendell's baby?

Answer: That he (Hodgins) would marry Angela if she wanted

Hodgins told Angela that he (Hodgins) was "her guy", if she wanted to move in together, get married or whatever. Hodgins said he knew that Angela would minimize Wendell's responsibilities for Wendell's own good.
10. Angela was not really pregnant.

Answer: True

Towards the end of the episode Cam told Angela that she had a false positive. When Cam thought the test was Michelle's she had it re-run using the Jeffersonian's equipment.
11. Who yelled for Hodgins very loudly so he/she would scare the guards?

Answer: Cam

Cam told Bones, "Fire in the hole", before she shouted. After the guards jumped, Bones realized Cam intentionally tried to scare the guards. When Hodgins arrived he remarked, "Was that you?"
12. To set up the rifle test, Booth needed access to Mr. White's gun as a distraction from the rifle. Who confused Mr. White with "jibber jabber" so he would give Booth a gun?

Answer: Bones

Bones said she could do it because she was very good with "jibber jabber". Bones preceded to use a lot of complicated words to 'explain' why Booth needed access to a gun. When Mr. White repeated back something Bones had said, Bones said, "Good, you understand."
13. Booth did not want the bones to belong to JFK.

Answer: True

The evidence the squints collected about how the person whose bones they were looking at died did not match the official government story of how JFK died. Even though Booth could make both shots with the rifle replica, he was a professional sniper making the shots without wind or distraction. Also the pivoting indicated that one shot came from the opposite direction.

Booth killed about 50 people as a sniper and the only way he could live with that was because the government told him it was just. If the government could lie about JFK's death then they could lie about anything.
14. The episode is called "The Proof In The Pudding". What did Bones put into chocolate pudding to 'prove' whether or not the bones belonged to JFK?

Answer: Two bones

One bone sank and the other bone floated. The bone that floated had Osteomyelitis, which JFK was not known to have. This was to 'prove' that the bones did not belong to JFK. Later Cam and Bones discussed a childhood disease JFK had that could have caused Osteomyelitis, but Bones said it only happened in one out of every hundred cases so it was statistically improbable that the bones belonged to JFK. Cam said that Bones was a good person because she knew how much Booth did not want the bones to belong to JFK.
15. What was seen on a TV set at the very end of the episode?

Answer: A news story about how JFK's body was not going to be exhumed out of respect for the family

During the episode it was mentioned that people wanted to exhume JFK to see if modern forensics could shed new light on the assassination of JFK. It was just the last mystery in the episode if the bones really did belong to JFK.
