Answer: Hank Kimball

Poor Ralph! She was forever mooning over bumbling Mr. Kimball. "Hankie", she called him. In season five episode, "Ralph's Nuptials," they actually did get married! Hank proposed under a heavy medicinal influence, but it was later discovered that Mr. Drucker, the justice of the peace, had not renewed his license, and the marriage was not legal.
2. What was Homer Bedloe's goal in life?

Answer: to put the train out of business

J. Homer Bedloe was vice-president of the C. and F.W. Railroad, and was constantly trying to find ways to discontinue the Cannonball's service to the valley. Mr. Bedloe was played by character actor Charles Lane, who died July 9, 2007, at the ripe old age of 102!
3. Who was Molly Turgis?

Answer: A ghost

Pity the ghost of Molly Turgis! An ugly girl, with no friends, she haunted Hooterville and made bad things happen whenever her name was mentioned. The townspeople had taken to calling her "You-Know-Who." (Shades of Lord Voldemort!) Lisa Douglas finally was able to persuade Molly to stop her pranks by giving her a ghastly make-up and hair make-over! Molly was played by Renie Riano.
4. Who was Eb's employer?

Answer: Oliver Douglas

Eb was Oliver's hired hand on the farm. He slept in the hayloft of the barn with his pet turtle, Eloise.
5. Who did Billie Jo Bradley marry?

Answer: No one

Billie Jo seriously dated Steve Elliott, until Steve realised he was in love with younger sister Betty Jo. Billie Jo was not heartbroken; her music career was beginning to blossom, and she put full effort into that.
6. What was the name of Fred Ziffel's wife?

Answer: Doris

The long-suffering wife of Fred Ziffel, and "mother" of Arnold, Doris was played by Barbara Pepper, until her death in 1969. She was replaced by actress Fran Ryan.
7. Who was Selma Plout's daughter?

Lynette Winter played Henrietta, the plain daughter of overbearing Selma Plout. Lynette also played Larue on "Gidget."
8. Which Bradley knew how to run the train?

Answer: Betty Jo

Betty Jo was a tomboy until she fell in love with Steve. She played shortstop on the baseball team and learned from Charlie and Floyd how to engineer the train. She actually drove the train to the hospital herself, the night she went into labor!

Mr. Haney sold Oliver Douglas his cow, Eleanor, who became a favorite of Lisa's. When Eleanor had a calf, Lisa named her "Eunice Cow," after Oliver's mother.

Answer: curves

"Curves" was a reference to the winding train tracks and the Bradley girls' hourglass figures. The theme song:
