Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Scully was clearly unenthused about meeting up with Mulder's source, suggesting sardonically that all of his information was derived from what?

Answer: "Star Trek"

Mulder was counting down the distance, reading out mile markers. When he announced that they had two miles to go, Scully quipped dryly, "I'm all a-tingle." Then she asked, "So, Mulder, this supposed clandestine source who's contacted you... How do we know that he's not just another crackpot, whose encyclopedic knowledge of extraterrestrial life isn't derived exclusively from reruns of 'Star Trek'?" Mulder assured her that, because he worked at Groom Lake, he had to be connected.
2. What "top secret" did Morris Fletcher whisper in Mulder's ear?

Answer: "There's no such thing as flying saucers."

Of course, just after he'd said that, the entire group stood in awe as some sort of flying object with bright lights flew overhead. As it did so, Mulder and Morris switched bodies, though Mulder didn't know what had happened!
3. How did Mulder have to identify himself to get into the compound where Morris worked?

Answer: identification badge

The security system wasn't very sophisticated; all he had to do was flash his ID badge. When the guard looked at it, he let Mulder by, which made Mulder start to realize that he must look like Morris.
4. At the gas station, Morris got out of the car to pump the gas.

Answer: false

He pulled up to the pump and just sat there in silence for a moment. Scully was obviously curious about his behavior and asked him what was wrong. He insisted nothing was and pointed out, "Gas cap's on your side." Scully was surprised by Mulder's attitude and the break in their normal procedure, but got out of the car to pump the gas.
5. What did Morris ask Scully to buy him at the gas station?

Answer: cigarettes

After she'd answered her cell phone only to get a hang-up (from Mulder), Scully got out of the car to finish with the gas. Morris stopped her and asked, "Oh, Dana? Want to pick me up a pack of Morleys, please?" Scully glossed over the use of her first name to ask the bigger question, "Since when do you smoke?" Morris asked if she was "going to be a Nazi about it" and Scully closed the car door wordlessly.
6. What did Mrs. Fletcher tell Mulder not to forget?

Answer: the milk

After Mrs. Fletcher had reamed Mulder out over the phone, Morris' coworker Jeff Smoodge told Mulder that they should be going home. Mulder sat in his chair with a look of stunned horror on his face as he no doubt thought of the home life he faced.
7. What did Mulder settle on watching on TV his first night in the Fletcher home?

Answer: porn

When Mulder got to the house, he checked the phone to find that it was connected to an operator, and looked in on Mrs. Fletcher in the master bedroom. He opted to sleep in a chair in front of the TV. After flipping through a few channels, he found some porn, shrugged his shoulders, and relaxed with the familiar programming.
8. At the scene of the craft crash, what had the copilot's body been merged with?

Answer: boulder

Howard Grodin led General Wegman to the copilot's body, but it was almost entirely entombed in a large boulder. Only his head and an arm were sticking out, and the poor man seemed alive and in great pain as he wiggled about as much as he could.
9. What did Kersh address Scully and Morris as?

Answer: "My two frequent flyers."

Kersh was annoyed that the agents had once again gone off on an investigation outside their assigned work. Scully was left to defend the trip, while Morris was all too willing to submit to the bureaucratic chain of command, saying "on behalf of Agent Scully and myself, I'd like to apologize for our blatant disregard of your direct order. You have our word. We will never ever do that again."
10. Why did Morris return to Kersh's office after speaking briefly with Scully in the hall?

Answer: to flirt with Kersh's assistant

As Scully watched, appalled, from the hall, Morris went back into the office, whispered into the ear of Kersh's assistant, and patted her on the back. When he returned to the hall and Scully questioned his behavior, Morris asked provocatively, "Jealous?" and patted Scully on the butt as he passed.
