Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Job Rake Err

Answer: Jawbreaker

"Jawbreaker" was published by On-Line Systems in 1981 for the Atari 8-bit. It was a game quite similar to "Pac-Man" but released before that game was officially available. Reviewers loved the game and sales were good. In 1982 it won the Arkie Award for best computer game.
2. Two Tiff Root Tee

Answer: Tutti Frutti

"Tutti Frutti" was first released in 1982 by Adventure International for Atari boards. In this game your task is to grab all the fruits before the timer runs out, while avoiding nasty bugs. Critics found it boring, but it was a good game for young
3. Rattan Two Wee

Answer: Ratatouille

This game was named for the Pixar movie "Ratatouille" and the game play mostly follows the plot. It's a platform game and as it was released in 2007, you would think the controls would be more up to snuff. It makes for a great "babysitter" though, especially if the kids liked the movie.

The game is actually similar to "Diner Dash", except it concentrates more on the cooking process rather than the serving of the food.
4. Snag Kaw Tic

Answer: Snack Attack

Very nearly a "Pac-man" clone for the Apple II, "Snack Attack" was published by Datamost in 1982. Later, "Snack Attack II" was released. It was essentially the same game, but developed for the IBM PC. It won an Arkie Award for Best Solitaire Computer Game.
5. Chaw Coulee Tear

Answer: Chocolatier

"Chocolatier" was the first game ever developed by Big Splash Games. It was published by PlayFirst and was available as a download in 2007 (the CD-ROM came later). It is basically a strategy game in which you build up resources and recipes in different parts of the world in order to expand your chocolate shops.

There ARE some action sequences within the mini games on levels. The graphics set in the Victorian era are pretty good, as is the sound and game play within the mini games. "Chocolatier" received the 2007 Zeeby Award for Best Strategy Game.
6. Whirl Dagons Hour

Answer: World Gone Sour

"World Gone Sour" was a 3D side scrolling game developed in Canada by Playbrains and released in 2011 for Windows. Later it was released for PlayStation and XBLA. It was basically an "advertisement" for a gummy brand called Sour Patch Kids. Most reviewers didn't seem to like the game very much - or maybe they just didn't like sour gummies, who knows?
7. Claw Dewy Witch Hatch Ant Soft Meet Bowls

Answer: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

"Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" was a good movie, but the video game? Maybe not so much. It has all the usual suspects from the movie that you can briefly interact with but the only playable character is Flint Lockwood and it seemed like they could have done more with him.

The game was released in 2011 for Wii, Windows, PlayStation 3 and Portable, Nintendo DS and XBox 360. Critics gave it mixed reviews depending on which platform they were playing it. Good game for children.
8. Cough Feet Auk

Answer: Coffee Talk

"Coffee Talk" was released in 2020 for Windows, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. The plot revolves around a Seattle barista (Coffee Talk is the name of her beverage shop) and her customers. The patrons are from many races (humans, vampires, mermaids, elves etc.) and they all have their own tales to tell. This is not a video "game" per se, it is more like having a graphic novel on your device. There are a few instances in which the player can interact with the novel, resulting in changes to the plot/outcome. If you don't like a LOT of reading, then perhaps "Coffee Talk" isn't for you. Critics have given it generally favourable reviews, especially for the anime graphics and soothing music. So order an iced latte from the barista, sit back and chill.
9. Cheque Ska West

Answer: Chex Quest

"Chex Quest" was initially released for DOS and Windows in 1996 as a promotional tool for General Mills. Copies of the game were even put in Chex cereal boxes as prizes. It's a first person shooter game based on the "Doom" engine, but is not at all violent and is recommended for children 10 and under, although adults apparently enjoy the game as well. Over the years it developed somewhat of a cult following and has evolved into a series (CQ 2, 3 and HD). General Mills re-released "Chex Quest" in 2019.
10. Peep Seen Fade Hearse

Answer: Pepsi Invaders

You cannot buy this game commercially, as "Pepsi Invaders" was created for the sole purpose of rewarding 125 Coca-Cola sales execs at a convention with an Atari 2600 console and a game in which they could blow up the name of their rival company Pepsi. Atari hacked their "Space Invaders" game to create exactly 125 copies with the letters P,E,P,S and I marching on the screen instead of aliens.

It is thought that many of the sales reps threw out their copies of the game, probably because it didn't really play like the real "Space Invaders". That makes "Pepsi Invaders" one the rarest video games and prior to 2020, collectors have paid as much as $1,800 USD on eBay in order to acquire it.
