"Resident Evil 6" - Jake's Story Quiz

Jake Muller and Sherry Birkin's story begins in Edonia, Eastern Europe, on Christmas Eve, 2012. While Sherry watches as soldiers inject themselves with 'energy boosters' and transform into hideous creatures, Jake injects his own, discovering that he feels none of the strange side-effects. The truth is, as Sherry tells him, his body contains the antibodies needed to defend against the C-Virus, and that makes him extremely important.

Sherry gives her credentials as National Security and the two head out into the battlefield around them, getting caught in the crossfire between the BSAA and Neo-Umbrella's B.O.W.s. Though Jake came into the battle as a mercenary on the enemy's side, Sherry's admits she's not there to hire him as a double agent. She's there for his his blood. She's not the only one, however, as they're soon pursued by a dangerous creature known only as Ustanak, and it's not willing to let them go quite so easily.

The Ustanak will chase Jake and Sherry to a warehouse and they'll have no choice but to fight it, blowing it up to stop it in its tracks as long as possible. They'll manage to lose sight of it when they fall through the floor of the building, eventually coming out into the city streets and meeting with BSAA agents Chris Redfield and Piers Nivens, the former of whom knows Sherry, tangentally, through his sister, Claire. After helping bring down a trio of anti-aircraft guns and two Ogroman B.O.W.s, it will be revealed that Neo-Umbrella also wants the antibodies in Jake's blood whether he's dead or alive. Before they split off, Chris remarks that he kind of recognizes Jake, but can't quite place him.

Sherry and Jake will subsequently take off in helicopter but their fight won't be over. Sherry calls into her superiors to secure Jake's payment for assistance-- the hefty sum of fifty million dollars-- but they'll be attacked once more by the Ustanak. The battle will call for careful maneuvering, even requiring them to leap between aircraft, and it'll end with the pair jumping from the aircraft, landing somewhere in the mountains alive but not unscathed.

Answer: Snowmobiles

Landing with their single parachute as they leap out of their crashing airplane, Jake and Sherry will awaken on an mountainside amongst the wreckage strewn from the aircraft. Though Sherry will have wreckage deep in her back, Jake will pull it out to discover she can heal, not unlike himself, though she explains that her blood isn't capable of finding the C-Virus cure.

More importantly, they pair will determine that Jake's data has gone missing, and much of the objective will be to reclaim it by locating three FOS Memory Devices, each containing his blood analysis and genome, from around the mountainside. When that's done, they can try and stay in a mountain cabin and wait for extraction... but that won't go as planned. The subsequent ambush and avalanche will send them racing down the mountain to another chance at safety.

Leaping free of their snowmobiles at a critical moment, Jake and Sherry will find themselves in some old mining caves beneath a mountain and what follows is a stealthy crawl through the corridors there, attempting to avoid the still-alive Ustanak, now cleverly using creatures known as Oko as surveillance. If Jake and Sherry can make it through the caverns they'll still be pursued by the Ustanak though quick thinking will allow them to use a drilling machine to keep it at bay.

Eventually the two will make it out of the cave and see the rendezvous site, but they'll be surrounded quickly by J'avo forces as Ada Wong comes in and claims them. She'll use the Ustanak to capture the two, but not before revealing to Jake that he's the son of former Umbrella crony Albert Wesker, and that's part of why he's so important to them.

Answer: China

Six months after their capture, Jake and Sherry manage to escape their detention rooms in a Chinese research facility, making a break for it past armed J'avo guards and eventually reuniting with each other in one of the building's locker rooms following a stealth run through.

As the two finally catch up, both having been tested on for the duration of their stay, Jake notes that he's had time to think about the truth revealed to him regarding his father; he worries that Wesker's evil may have passed on to him.

Sherry tells him that, ultimately, he'll just need to take responsibility for his own actions and not his father's.

Answer: Ten

Heading through the research facility building the sterile labs will start turning into a more regal establishment adorned in Chinese aesthetics and comfortable lounge rooms. Though the area will be infested with J'avo, the pair will need to locate a number of ID Medallions to proceed, inserting them into a giant Buddha statue to get access to the west wing (with three) and the comms room to the east (with ten).

The comms room will be exactly what Jake and Sherry need since they can recollect Jake's blood analysis and contact the outside world to set up a new rendezvous point for extraction. It's not as easy as simply leaving though as the pair will be pursued through the building by a literal armored tank. They'll make it out if they can find a means of transportation, and they will if they can fight through the throngs of zombies.

Answer: Motorbike

After Jake and Sherry secure a motorbike from the detention facility they'll ride off into Lanshiang on the highway and be pursued through the city by J'avo forces and their armoured helicopter. A brief phone call from Sherry's boss will send the pair to a rendezvous point somewhere in the city, but getting there is the tough part as they'll eventually crash and have to head out on foot, coincidentally running into Chris and Piers, six months after their encounter in Edonia. All four will end up taking shots at the chopper to save themselves, managing to bring down the threat before going their separate ways.

Answer: Ubistvo

Heading into the street markets, Jake and Sherry will find new ways to take down more fearsome J'avo, but they'll also face off against tougher enemies than ever before. This starts and ends with a battle against the Ubistvo, a C-Virus-infected creature with a chainsaw arm that can spell the end of anyone in its path. This battle, however, will be broken up with yet another encounter agains the Ustanak, this time with help from Leon S. Kennedy and Helena Harper who, having come to Lanshiang for their own reasons, will let Sherry know that their target is Derek S. Simmons, her boss.

When Jake and Sherry finally reach the rendezvous at the Kwun Lung Building in Koocheng she'll find out the truth once and for all, entrust Leon with the data from the research facility, and flee with Jake in an effort to protect him from Simmons' men. Unfortunately, they're captured yet again. This time for one last time.

Answer: Chris and Piers

Jake and Sherry awaken locked away in an underwater facility and Sherry apologizes for trusting Simmons and not seeing through his lies. The pair are freed by an unknown party and, after reclaiming their weapons, settle into an attempt at escape that would be inexplicable given any other circumstances. Rushing through the different levels of the facility, they need to activate four reserve batteries while contending with unstoppable Rasklapanjes.

Eventually they pair will reunite for the last time with Chris and Piers who, there to locate the duo and stop the last plan in Neo-Umbrella's list of apocalyptic ploys, will share the blame for releasing HAOS, which could infect the entire world if left unchecked. Chris and Piers will stay back to fight that while Sherry and Jake attempt to make their own escape plan.

Answer: Magnum

As the pair split off from Chris and Piers, Jake will note that they need to get out of the facility and saving the world. He is, after all, not like his father. Their path will lead them to, to their surprise, a chamber filled with lava and it'll be there that they face their second-to-last stand against the Ustanak, now equipped with a massive, bladed ball-and-chain arm. After descending from the catwalks above, the fight will take them to a small patch of ground below, risking their lives for one last battle, and it'll all lead to a fistfight, one on one, between Jake and the creature.

Though the Ustanak will plunge into the lava, the real final battle will occur on a high-speed platform as it hurtles out of the facility and one shot from a Magnum will do in the beast once and for all.

Sherry, on a flight back to the United States, will write that Jake's blood sample and six months of results from Neo-Umbrella's archives have been delivered to the U.N. while the BSAA keeps Jake's relationship to Wesker top secret. Jake texts her to let her know he lowered the asking price (for his blood) to $50 and he peels off on a motorcycle ride through the desert.
