1. Eat "dots" and various fruit while avoiding four enemies.

Answer: Pac-Man

Pac-Man can move up, down, left and right eating dots and trying to avoid his enemies. Among the dots there are some "power" pills. When he eats one of these pills, he can turn from hunted into hunter and destroy his enemies by catching them up. Occasionally a fruit appears that gives extra points when eaten. "Pac-Man" was released by Namco in 1980.
2. Kill Pookas and Fygars by inflating them.

Answer: Dig Dug

The character Dig Dug, dressed in blue and white, digs underground tunnels to get near the red coloured Fygars and the green coloured Pookas. When Dig Dug is directly in line with an enemy, either horizontally or vertically, he can hook onto them with a pipe and destroy them by inflating them through the attached pipe.

He can also kill them by crushing with rocks after he digs a tunnel under the rock. The game was released in 1982 by Namco.
3. Aliens marching across the screen and downwards.

Answer: Space Invaders

The objective of the games is to destroy aliens that move from left to right and downwards. You move left or right and can fire at the oncoming aliens. You can hide behind four bunkers and fire when you have a clear view of the enemy. They also fire at you and you have to be very quick to destroy the nearest row of aliens to you because as they got lower they speed up.

The game was released by Taito in 1980.
4. "Jumpman" saves the lady in distress.

Answer: Donkey Kong

Donkey Kong steals a lady and takes her to the highest point on the screen. There is an inclined pathway to the top. The hero "Jumpman", who later becomes Mario, runs up the incline trying to either destroy or jump over barrels that are thrown by Kong. He can also use ladders to move towards his objective. The game was released by Nintendo in 1981.

Answer: Galaga

In this game a lone space ship fights against an alien army of bugs that is made up of bees, moths and Galagas. Answer: Tetris

In this game you have to manipulate falling tiles of various shapes. Each row or rows that form a solid line disappear from the screen. Each tile consists of four segments and there are seven different shapes. A score of 100 is awarded when a single line is cleared and 800 points are awarded when four rows are cleared. The game was designed by Alexey Pajitnov and was released in 1984.

The centipede consists of several segments. When it touches one of the mushrooms or reaches the end of the screen the centipede drops down one row.

When a segment is hit then it turns into a mushroom. When the centipede is destroyed completely it is replaced by a new one. "Centipede" was designed and programmed by Dona Bailey and Ed Logg and was produced by Atari in 1980.
