Answer: The Legend of Zelda

In 1986, "The Legend of Zelda" was first released in the United States for the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). Ever since, the series has been a main staple for Nintendo consoles, with titles such as "A Link to the Past" for the Super NES, "Ocarina of Time" and "Majora's Mask" for the Nintendo 64, "The Wind Waker" for the GameCube, and "Twilight Princess" for the Wii.

Answer: Grand Theft Auto

While many of the games in the "Grand Theft Auto" series aren't subtitled, many of the best titles in the series are. Also, many of those games were released on the PlayStation 2 and/or the Xbox, such as "Vice City" in 2002 and "San Andreas" in 2004.

The "Metal Gear Solid" franchise has made appearances on several Sony consoles, including "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty" and "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater" on the PlayStation 2, and "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots" on the PlayStation 3.

It should be noted that the "Metal Gear Solid" series is part of the overarching "Metal Gear" series, which includes games such as "Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake."

While the first two "Guitar Hero" games weren't subtitled, the first "Guitar Hero" title published by Activision, "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock," and one of their later titles, "Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock," were subtitled. In addition, many spin-offs of the series were created that focused on a particular band, such as "Guitar Hero: Metallica" and "Guitar Hero: Van Halen".

Starting in 1994 with "The Elder Scrolls: Arena", "The Elder Scrolls" series has largely been associated with vast, open world gameplay and extensive environments. Such attributes became more and more prevalent which each successor, going from "The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall" to "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind" to "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion".

The first two titles in the series, "Metroid Prime" and "Metroid Prime 2: Echoes," were released for the GameCube in 2002 and 2004 respectively, while the third, "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption," was released for the Wii in 2007. These three games are part of the "Metroid" series, which dates back to 1986.

"Uncharted" is a series whose first two installments appeared only on the PlayStation 3 with the titles "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" released in 2007 and "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" released in 2009. The subtitle of the first series refers to the main protagonist, Nathan Drake.

The "Prince of Persia" series has had several installments, dating as far back as the early 1990s. "The Sands of Time," "Warrior Within," and "The Two Thrones" are only a few of the games in the franchise, which goes from the original "Prince of Persia" released in the early 1990s to "Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands" released in 2010.

The "Star Wars" franchised has produced dozens of video games dating back to the early 1980s. Some of the noticeable ones are "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic," an RPG released in 2003, "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron", which was released in 1998 and started a series of "Rogue Squadron" games, and "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed", which was released in 2008.

Answer: The Dishwasher

In 2007, independent game developer James Silva submitted his idea and work on a game to Microsoft's "Dream-Build-Play" contest and won. Two years later in 2009, "The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai" was released on the Xbox Live Arcade, and in 2011, the sequel, "The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile", was released to the same platform.
