The Petronas Company, which stands for Petroliam Nasional Berhad, has consisted of so many associates and subsidiaries that they have filled most of Tower One of the Petronas Towers by themselves. Founded in 1974, the Petronas Group has become one of the largest corporations in the world.

It is completely owned by the government of Malaysia and has a wide area of interests, such as oil and gas production and marketing research.
2. Qatari pay television news channel

Headquartered in Doha, Qatar, the goal of Al Jazerra is to "give voice to untold stories, promote debate, and challenge established perceptions". With a focus on news from developing countries, the agency has many different types of recurring and special programs, including "People & Power" and "TechKnow". Established in Malaysia in 2006, Al Jazerra English broadcasts news there 24 hours, 7 days a week, with half of its broadcasting coming from Doha, and 4 hours each from London, Washington, D.C., and Kuala Lumpur.

Founded in 1981 by Michael Bloomberg, the current headquarters of the company is New York City. The company, called Bloomberg L.P. since 1986, has branched out in a wide variety of endeavors including Bloomberg Professional Service - which accounts for approximately 85% of the company's revenue - that offers subscribers access to world-wide financial data. Based in Redmond, Washington, Microsoft was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in 1975. Originally their purpose was to develop and sell BASIC interpreters for the Altair 880. In the 1980s the company's scope expanded into the personal computer market with the introduction of MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows. Microsoft Malaysia Sdn.Bhd., a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation, was founded in 1992, offering sales and technical support services to the Malaysian market.

Based in London, Reuters was established in 1851 as Reuter's Telegram Company. Originally more of a service to banks and other businesses, the company gained status for reporting big news events first - such as the assassination of President Lincoln in the United States in 1865.

In 2008 Reuters merged with Thomson Corporation in Canada and became Thomson Reuters. There is a company office in Penang, Malaysia, in addition to the office in the Petronas Towers.

Founded in 1976 by former employees of Delhi Cloth & General Mills, HCL Technologies is headquartered in Noida, India. Originally organized to manufacture personal computers, the business has expanded its operations into many sectors, including aerospace, automobiles, health care, and insurance. With offices in Malaysia since 1985, HCL Technologies currently has operations in 34 countries.
7. American multinational aircraft manufacturing corporation

Founded in 1916, the corporate headquarters for Boeing is Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. Boeing's first Malaysian deal took place in 1947 when their DC-3 was sold to Malaysia Airways Limited. Since then, both private and government businesses have purchased Boeing products, and there are several companies in Malaysia that supply parts for the many Boeing products, such as airplanes, rockets, and missiles.
8. Chinese international networking telecommunications company

Answer: Huawei Technologies

Founded by Ren Zhengfei in 1987, the company's first focus was on telephone switches. Since 2012 Huawei has become one of the largest manufacturers in the world, focusing on a variety of products and services, such as research and development and consulting.

In order to expand their sales into Malaysia, the corporation opened a regional office there in 2016; at that time they were appointed by the Malaysian government to train professionals in colleges.
9. American worldwide management consulting firm

Answer: McKinsey & Company

Founded in 1926 by James O. McKinsey, a professor of accounting at the University of Chicago, the original mission of the company was to apply accounting principles to management. Since 1939, when the company became known by its present name, "The "Firm" (as it calls itself) has mostly focused on management and consulting.

The current website of McKinsey Malaysia states that the company has been in Malaysia more than twenty years and they "advise the country's largest companies in all major sectors-including telecom, oil and gas, banking, energy, consumer goods, and healthcare".
10. Sovereign wealth fund of Malaysian Government

Answer: Khazanah Nasional Berhad

Founded in 1993, the purpose of Khazanah Nasional Berhad is to supervise the commercial assets of the Malaysian Government and make investments as its representative. The Minister of Finance Incorporated owns all of the share capital with the exception of one share that is held by the Federal Land Commissioner.

The goal of the company is to make decisions that will stimulate the Malaysian economy in a variety of sectors.
