Night at the Museum Trivia Questions

Answer: the scourge of God

Larry was reading up on his history so that he could do a better job, and better relate to the things and people in the museum who came alive. Reading aloud from the book about Attila the Hunn, he said, "Known as the scourge of God."

Answer: Loading dock

Nick's father, Larry, tells Nick to lock the loading dock and then the basement when he comes back into the main part of the museum. Since he was a child, Nick has been afraid of the basement and the loading dock because of the scary items located down there. Once again Nick gets scared when he goes down to the loading dock and he lies about having locked it. Of course that decision will have consequences.

Answer: Pompeii

While fleeing Trixie, Jedediah and Octavius fall into the ventilation system. There they wander around while Dexter tries to find them and the rest follow Dexter. While travelling through the system they fall into a model of Pompeii but do not realize it until the volcano begins to erupt. They get trapped by the lava and are about to die when Dexter shows up and pees on the lava to cool it so it can't reach them and pees on them so they won't catch fire. The two swear to never tell anyone what happened.

Answer: Mizuo Peck

Peck, a native of New York City, was cast as Sacagawea. Sacagawea was on display at the Museum of Natural History and, like the other artifacts, came alive every night. Since Sacagawea was behind glass, she could not be heard by people that she spoke to on the other side of the glass. In one scene, she tried to tell Larry something but Larry told her he could not hear her. At the end of the movie, someone hurled something at the glass and it broke. Sacagawea was free and she helped Larry and the others track the location of the guy who stole the tablet. Peck reprised her role of Sacagawea in "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian". She portrayed characters in the films, "Peace of Mind" and "Scenes of the Crime".

Answer: Dum-dum

It was the Easter Island Head's first line, "Hey Dum-dum!" Everytime he saw Larry, which was several times in the movie, that was what he called him. Another one of his lines, "My Dum-dum want to speak." Jedadiah was the one who called Larry Gigantor.

Answer: Security guard

Larry took over as the security guard to cut down on the expenses of having more than one security guard. As it turned out the security guards who were there already, were planning to steal an artifact that brought the statues to life. They thought that Larry would not suspect anything and they could pin the crime on him.

Answer: Pharaoh of Egypt

Kahmunrah and his brother Ahkmenrah are both fictional characters in the "Night at the Museum" movie series. Kahmunrah was not granted the position of Pharaoh of Egypt because his father thought he was too impulsive. In "Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again", Kahmunrah seeks to awaken an army of the dead.

Answer: Khonsu

Merenkahre (Ben Kingsley) had the tablet forged in the temple of Khonsu and had the tomb designed to channel the moon's beams to recharge the tablet every night so the family would never be apart even after death. After Larry learns the truth he takes the tablet to a part of the museum where the moonlight can hit it but Lancelot steals the tablet from him, believing it to be the Holy Grail. He then sets out to return to Camelot with the group chasing after him.

Answer: Amelia Earhart

Larry meets the airplane pilot and she is his helpful friend, defending the golden tablet from the wrong hands. She is famous for being the second person and first woman to fly solo over the Atlantic.

At first they are platonic friends, but then they develop intimate feelings toward each other. Soon they realize that they can never grow closer because she is a museum figurine and not a real human.

Answer: Daley

Larry Daley was the quirky main character in this film. He was divorced, and hadn't been able to hold a steady job. His main goal was to find a job he could keep, so that he wouldn't have to move and could continue to see his son.

Answer: Jedadiah

Octavius, played by Steve Coogan, and Jedadiah, Owen Wilson fought each other throughout most of the movie. Jedadiah even put Octavius into the stockade.

Answer: Scorpion

Kahmunrah and the Egyptian god Seth awaken a massive scorpion that tries to sting Nick and the museum exhibits. Luckily, Joan of Arc is able to slice the scorpion from below weakening it. Dexter the capuchin monkey then jumps on the scorpion's back and dodges its stinger effectively making the scorpion sting itself.

Answer: By using his flashlight to get them to chase the beam

At the beginning of the movie, Jedediah and Octavius are watching an online video of cats chasing a light beam so they remind Larry of the video. He uses his flashlight to get the lions to chase the light so they can continue on their quest to get the tablet back from Lancelot.

Answer: The Einstein bobble heads

The Einstein Bobble Heads help Larry and his female partner solve the riddle. "The answer is at the heart of the pyramid", the little geniuses say! The tablet's combination is 3.14159265.

Answer: Patrick Gallagher

Patrick Gallagher graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in 1993. He has done most of his acting on TV shows including "Da Vinci's Inquest" and "Dark Angel". He has also done several movies indluding "Walking Tall", "Sideways", and "Final Destination 3". Rami Malek played the character Ahkmenrah. Pierfrancesco Favino played the Tin Man, who we later know to be Christopher Columbus. Dan Rizzuto was one of the neanderthals, specifically credited as Neanderthal Number Two.

Answer: Sacajawea

After his first night at the museum, Larry wanted to know more about history so that he could do a better job. He went to Rebecca who worked at the museum. She knew a lot about Sacajawea, and when he asked why, Rebecca said that she'd been writing her dissertation on Sacajawea for four years. She also mentioned that it was more like a 900 page book.

Answer: They were turned into dust.

Larry was warned to keep an eye on the exhibits because when they got out when the sun came up that they would turn to dust. One of the cave man escaped during the quest for the fire he saw, and ended up turning to dust.

Answer: Glasses case

In the film Theodore Roosevelt tells Nick that the glasses case saved his life and he shows Nick the bullet hole on it. Theodore Roosevelt also jokes that the case can be used to hold breath mints. Nick grudgingly accepts the case as a gift and luckily the case stops Kahmunrah's sword from killing him. Another gift Nick received were beads and a map of the museum from Sacagawea which he would use as a portal to get back to the museum later in the film.

Answer: King Arthur

Lancelot sees an advertisement for "Camelot" the play and heads for where it is being staged, thinking it is the real Camelot. He goes into the theater and up on stage where he mistakes Hugh for the real King Arthur. Alice Eve is on stage as Guinevere. When Lancelot realizes none of it is real he goes crazy.

Answer: Napoleon Bonaparte, Ivan the Terrible, and Al Capone

Kahmunrah chooses these dastardly villains from history to join in his unholy reign of the world for a planned 1000 years. But he needs the tablet and its code to do it. Larry tries to keep the combination secret, but one of Kahmunrah's buddies gets the answer from another exhibit figure and helps Kahmunrah set his evil underworld bird-man army free.

Answer: Milan Trenc

Milan Trenc was born in Zagreb in 1962. He wrote and illustrated "The Night at the Museum", which he had published in 1993 by Barrons Juvenile. Ben Garant, along with Thomas Lennon, wrote the screenplay based on his book. Rami Malek is an actor who played Ahkmenrah in the film.

Answer: Ahkmenrah

The tablet was what caused everything in the museum to come to life. Cecil explained to Larry that it had been Ahkmenrah's most prized possession.

Answer: Joshua Bassett

Joshua Bassett was born in California in 2000 and he gained prominence for his role as Ricky Bowen on "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" which premiered in 2019. His first major film role was in 2022 when he starred as Anthony Foster, the older brother of the title character, in the film "Better Nate Than Ever". Bassett did an excellent job voicing Nick Daley in "Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again" as he showcased his abilities as a singer and to do dramatic and comedic scenes.

Answer: Patrick Gallagher

Gallagher, born in 1968 in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada played Attila the Hun. When the artifacts first came alive, one of them remarked that Attila the Hun was the only one that had the ability to defeat the entire Roman Empire. Larry also learned that Atilla the Hun and his men liked to rip off the limbs of people they did not like. There was one scene in which Larry almost lost his limbs to Attila the Hun and his men but they got scared once they saw animals come after them. Near the end of the movie, Attila the Hun spoke to Ahkmenrah and Attila realized that Larry was not the bad guy he made him out to be. Attila and Larry finally became allied and teamed up with the other artifacts and Nicky to get the tablet back from Cecil. Gallagher reprised his role of Attila the Hun in "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian". He also appeared in the movies, "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" and "The House Next Door".

Answer: "A house divided against itself can not stand"

Seeing the Lincoln statue scares the bird droppings out of Kahmunrah's bird-man army and sends them fleeing back to the underworld.

Saying this inspirational quote, from the "Bible", helps Larry mess with the minds of Kahmunrah's buddies, which succeeds and tears them apart! Larry's friends, lead by General Custer, attack Kahmunrah and his team. Then Larry and the evil Egyptian Ruler battle, but Kahmunrah looses and suffers his torturous end in Egyptian Hades!

Larry successfully returns the locked-away figures to the Museum of Natural History and makes a deal with Dr. McPhee. He requests that the museum keeps the wax figures and stays open late at night, so the public can enjoy the figures coming to life!

"All they that take the sword, shall perish with the sword" is taken from the "Bible". Napoleon said, "A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of colored ribbon". And the final quote "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" was said by Mother Teresa.
