Brandon Sanderson (1975-) is an American author of science fiction and epic fantasy who completed the "Wheel of Time" series after Robert Jordan's death.
"The Gathering Storm" is the twelfth book in Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series in which Rand al'Thor struggles to unite the fractured network of kingdoms in preparation for the Last Battle, while simultaneously hoping to form at least a temporary truce with the invaders.
