Shirley Bassey recorded the song to be used as the main theme song for the movie, just as she had previously for another Bond film, "Goldfinger" (1964). Bassey would also go on to record the main theme song for yet another Bond film with the 1979 release of "Moonraker".
4. "Diamonds"

Answer: Rihanna

Appearing on the 2012 album "Unapologetic," the song was a major hit in many countries throughout the world, topping the charts in Germany, France, Russia, Greece, among many others, and it also topped the US Billboard Hot 100. The single has been certified seven times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), meaning it has sold over seven million copies.
5. "Diamond Dogs"

Answer: David Bowie

"Diamond Dogs" was released in 1974 off the album of the same name. "Rebel Rebel" from the album achieved more mainstream success than "Diamond Dogs," but it still one of Bowie's more popular songs, and he made it a part of many of his tours up until his death in 2016. The full version of the song is just over six minutes in length.
6. "Diamond Girl"

Answer: Seals and Crofts

The song comes from Seals and Crofts' 1973 album of the same name. It was one of the group's most successful songs, as it peaked at number six on the US Billboard Hot 100, just as their other hit "Summer Breeze" did a year earlier in 1972. Coincidentally, their 1976 song "Get Closer" also peaked at number six on the same chart.
7. "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds"

Answer: The Beatles

The song came from the Beatles' iconic 1967 album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." John Lennon wrote the song after his young son Julian came home from school one day with a drawing he had made, which he called "Lucy in the sky with diamonds," Lucy being one of his schoolmates. Lennon then decided to use that title for the song.

It has often been said that the song is about the hallucinogenic drug lysergic acid diethylamide, because the initials of the song spell out LSD. Lennon denied that the song had anything to do with drugs.

The song topped the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1967.
8. "Diamonds & Rust"

Answer: Joan Baez

Joan Baez is a singer/songwriter known for penning and performing folk music, and "Diamonds & Rust" is one of her most well known songs. It was released on the album of the same name in 1975, and the album has been certified gold by the RIAA. The song is about her relationship with Bob Dylan, who she dated for several years earlier in their careers.

The song reached number 35 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
9. "Diamonds Made From Rain"

Answer: Eric Clapton

The song is an original song from his 2010 album "Clapton." It was co-written by one of the members of his touring band, Doyle Bramhall II. The song was not released as a single, so it is one of Clapton's deep tracks.
10. "Diamonds and Pearls"

Answer: Prince

Prince recorded this song with his band The New Power Generation in 1991 at his studio in Minnesota named Paisley Park. The song is from the album of the same name, which also included hits "Cream," "Insatiable," and "Money Don't Matter 2 Night." The song peaked at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100. Prince also released a popular music video of the song.
