1. Bros

'Cat Among the Pigeons' is a single by the British band Bros, whose members were twins Matt and Luke Goss and Craig Logan. They got together in 1986 in Camberley, Surrey, England. When released in 1988, it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. Some of their other singles include 'I Owe You Nothing', 'Drop The Boy' and 'When Will I Be Famous'.
2. Lobo

Lobo, whose real name is Roland Kent LaVole was an American singer-songwriter who was born in Tallahassee, Florida, in 1943. He recorded the song 'Me and You and a Dog Named Boo' in 1971. It peaked at number five on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number four on the UK Singles Chart. Other singles by him include 'I'd Love You to Want Me' and 'Don't Expect Me to Be Your Friend'.
3. KT Tunstall

British singer Kate Victoria (KT) Tunstall was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1975. Taken from her album 'Eye to the Telescope', her single 'Black Horse and the Cherry Tree' was released in 2005. It reached number 28 on the UK Singles Chart and number 20 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Other singles of hers are 'Suddenly l See', 'Hold On' and 'Other Side of the World'.
4. The Tokens

'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' is a song which was recorded by the American Doo-wap group The Tokens, which originated in Brooklyn, New York, in 1955. It was a number-one hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and also in Australia and Canada when it was released in 1961.

It also made number 11 on the UK Singles Chart in 1962. A couple of their other singles are 'Tonight l Fell in Love' and 'Portrait of My Love'.
5. Survivor

The single 'Eye of the Tiger' was recorded by the American band Survivor (formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1978). It became a huge hit for them in America and Britain, reaching number one on the UK Singles Chart and the U.S Billboard Hot 100. It also became the theme tune for the film 'Rocky III'. Other singles of theirs are 'Burning Heart' and 'Is This Love'.
6. The Sweet

The Sweet was a British band which originated in 1968 in London, England. They released the single 'Fox on the Run' in 1975. It achieved number two on the UK Singles Chart and number five on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and topped the chart in Australia. It also rose to number two in Canada and Ireland. Other Sweet singles include 'Poppa Joe' 'Little Willy' and 'Ballroom Blitz'.
7. Jimmy Nail

James Michael Aloysius Bradford, aka British singer Jimmy Nail, was born in 1954 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. His single 'Crocodile Shoes' reached number four on the UK Singles Chart when it was released in 1994. The song was written for a TV drama which shared its name. Other singles he released include 'Ain't No Doubt', 'Cowboy Dreams' and 'Love Don't Live Here Anymore'.
8. Neneh Cherry

Swedish singer Neneh Cherry was born in Stockholm in 1964. Her single 'Buffalo Stance', which was released in 1988, peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart and also on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Some other singles by her include 'Manchild', 'Love Can Build a Bridge' and 'Woman'.
9. Duran Duran

Duran Duran is a British band which formed in Birmingham, England, in 1978. 'Hungry Like the Wolf' is one of their singles and was released in 1982. It got to number five on the UK Singles Chart and reached number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1983. Some more of their many hits are 'The Reflex', 'Ordinary World, 'Rio' and 'Girls on Film'.
10. The B52's

American band the B52's was formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1976. Their single 'Rock Lobster' was released in 1978. It reached number 37 on the UK Singles Chart in 1979 and number 56 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. It also made number one on Canada RPM Top Singles. Among their other singles are 'Give Me Back My Man' and 'Love Shack'.

The latter made number two in the UK and number three in the U.S.
