"Cheeseburger in Paradise" was a single for the 1978 album "Son of a Son of a Sailor" and made it to number 32 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
Jimmy wrote the song after a nightmare sailing trip in the Caribbean on his boat, the Euphoria. He and his crew dealt with horrible weather crossing the Mona Passage, which caused a lot of damage and they completely ran out of real food. All they had left was peanut butter and canned goods. When they finally limped in and docked on the island of Tortola, Jimmy ran to the nearest spot to get some real food. While many joints claim the crown, Jimmy's own records confirm that Village Cay Marina in Road Town served the original "heaven sent" cheeseburger.
On a personal note, I discovered that I have been a victim of chronic lyricosis since my first show on Fire Island, New York, for the 1988 "Hot Water" Tour. Diving into this song revealed to me the fact that it's Muenster cheese and not mustard!
