The "disco duck" is a clumsy flapping dance that resembles a chicken dance. The song tells the story of a man who uses these manoeuvres to earn his wings on the dance floor. On "Top of the Pops" in 1976, the dance routine was aired with five young female dancers and one male dancing to the "Disco Duck". Halfway through the routine, a dancer in a chicken costume appears, dancing to the "Disco Duck". To be honest, in my opinion, it was a bit lame.
