Bay beans are often found in sandy or beach areas. The flowers are pinkish-purple with white centers. The pods produce seeds that are buoyant and disperse in the wind. Bay grape is actually a tree and not a vine. The flowers of the tree are small and creamy-white.

Darrell's fleabane is a shrub with white flowers. It is used as a food plant by some species of butterfly.
Wild pepper is a herb that grows in areas that are both rocky and moist. It can be used both for ornamental purposes and for consumption.

Poison ivy is actually related to cashews and pistachios. It is the oily resin of the plant that causes an allergic reaction. Even though a number of animal and bird species eat the plant, many humans think of it as a weed.

Seaside goldenrod actually originates in the Great Lakes Region of the United States. As you'd expect from the name, the plants have yellow flowers. It has significant salinity tolerance. Box briars are shrubs with black fruits and are also known as inkberries. It is also used as a Christmas plant in the Virgin Islands. Tassel plants originated in the Pacific Coast of the United States. It is a flowering shrub, which can be used for food and for medicinal purposes.
