The Portsmouth Spartans were NFL members from 1930 until 1933, when they were sold and relocated to Detroit, renaming themselves the Lions. Their most successful era of the 20th century came in the 1950s when they won the NFL title on three occasions.

Answer: Oakland Hills

Oakland Hills, situated in Bloomfield Township, first hosted the US Open in 1924, and hosted its first PGA Championship in 1972. Major winners over the course include Ben Hogan at the 1951 Open, Gary Player at the 1972 PGA and Padraig Harrington at the 2008 PGA. Europe, captained by Bernhard Langer, thrashed the USA 18.5 - 9.5 in the 2004 Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills.

Daly was appointed Pistons Head Coach in 1983 and transformed a franchise with a history of losing. In his nine years in charge in Detroit, the team made the playoffs each year. After a narrow finals loss to the LA Lakers in 1988, the Pistons won their first-ever championship in 1989, defeating the Lakers 4-0.

In 1990, they successfully defended their crown, the Portland Trailblazers being their victims in the finals. Daly would leave the Pistons after the 1991-92 season to coach the US Olympic "Dream Team" before taking over the reins at the New Jersey Nets.
10. Alexi Lalas, from Birmingham, Michigan, was a US internationalist in which sport?

Lalas played collegiate soccer at Rutgers. He made his United States National Team debut in 1991 vs Mexico, and would go on to win 96 caps, including appearances at the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He had a brief spell with Italian club Padova before returning to the States with the New England Revolution. His last pro club before retiring in 2003 was the Los Angeles Galaxy.
