January 1967 - The paid attendance was 61,946. In this game, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in a 35-10 game that was never particularly competitive.

Answer: Chuck Howley

This occurred in the fifth Super Bowl (January 1972), between Howley's Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Colts. Incidentally, Howley became the first SB MVP to have played on the losing team, as his team dropped a heartbreaker by a 16-13 ledger, where the team entered the 4th quarter up 13-6. You can't pin that loss on Howley whatsoever however, as he won MVP for a good reason.

In a defensive struggle where points came at a premium, Howley came away with two massive interceptions: one came to end a Baltimore drive that was deep in Dallas' red zone, and the other came to put the Cowboys offense just outside Baltimore's red zone, two hugely pivotal turnovers.

Answer: Super Bowl XIII (13; Steelers vs Cowboys)

January 1979 - The Steelers won this game by a tight mark of 35-31, the first Super Bowl where both teams combined for more than 50 points. With just under 700 yards of combined offense, in a game where eventual MVP Terry Bradshaw tossed four touchdowns for the Steelers, this was a classic shootout of a football game.

January 1977 - The Raiders turned in a terrific 15-1 season that saw them end on a thirteen game win streak, including the postseason. In this game, they buried Minnesota in a 19-0 hole in the third quarter that the Vikings would never recover from. This was the first Super Bowl to be played at the Rose Bowl.

Answer: Rams vs Titans

The Rams boasted one of the most exciting offenses in NFL history, culminating in a powerful, extremely tightly contested 23-16 victory over Tennessee. The MVP, Kurt Warner, threw for over 400 yards and two touchdowns without turning the ball over. Tennessee boasted a more balanced attack as, while Steve McNair comparatively only threw for 214 yards, the Titans were led by Eddie George on the ground. George contrivuted 95 rushing yards, by far eclipsing the Rams on the ground by himself.

January 1967 - The Jets scored their only TD of the hame on a Matt Snell four yard rush. Three Jim Turner field goals later, and the Jets were up 16-0. Despite not throwing a TD and throwing for just over 200 yards, Joe Namath was indeed named MVP. Objectively, Matt Snell really should have won the honor, as he posted 121 yards on the ground and, as previously mentioned, scored the Jets' only TD.

February 2008 - the Giants narrowly made the playoffs at a 10-6 record, securing their positioning in the final week of the regular season. Meanwhile, the Patriots became the first team to ever go 16-0, capping off a perfect season, ironically, by beating the Giants in a thrilling Week 17 showdown on Saturday Night Football.

The Giants would have the last laugh, and that laugh would go on to reverberate for years and years to come for both franchises. The defense stepped up huge, containing the high flying Tom Brady offense just well enough to edge New England 17-14.

Answer: Rams and Dolphins

In Super Bowl VI, the Dolphins offense was stagnant in losing a 24-3 tilt to the Dallas Cowboys. 47 years later, the New England Patriots' stout defense kept the Los Angeles Rams off the board almost all game, winning a defensive struggle by a ledger of 13-3.

In SBs 54, 57 and 58, the Chiefs took home the Lombardi in defeating the 49ers, Eagles and then San Francisco again. SBs 55 and 59 were very much a different story, as Kansas City suffered blowout losses to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles in these games. In all three of their wins, quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named MVP.

Answer: Terrell Davis

This took place in 1998, 28 years and a turn of the century between the two. Comparing the two, and Davis' stat line was a lot better than Walker's, with more yards rushed (157-135) and scoring three times, while Walker did not score at all. There were not any truly standout individual contributions during Super Bowl 60, labeling Walker III the winner simply for rushing for more than 100 yards on the game.
