"Madison's Happy Ending" Trivia Quiz

Answer: To assist the witches

As Ben arrives at Miss Robichaux's Academy and the door opens to let him in, he tells the witches waiting in the main hall inside that he believes they're looking for him. He doesn't was time walking towards them, even though their magic is at the ready to unleash. Cordelia casts him up along the wall, trapping him in place off the floor, while Madison draws forth a knife with the powers of her mind and brandishes it towards the prisoner.

Ben's only feigning capture though; he forces Madison back through the building and regains stability on the ground, reminding the witches that he'd win in a battle against them. He didn't come to fight them though. Instead, he came because he never wanted to be the son of Satan; he never asked for power. They need him if they want to save the world, and he has all the details about his father's weaknesses. He's on their side.

Cordelia finds Ben's claim to be a surprise, but she urges him to continue.

Answer: Mind-reading

Ben recounts that after he accepted Satan's fate for him, he gained a number of powers, one of which allowed him to read his father's mind, inadvertently allowing him to listen into Mr. Nas' thoughts while he slept in the other room. He learned everything about Satan in what seemed like a flash, and the knowledge directed him to the witches' coven, binding them together.

Satan engineered Ben's entire life, directing him through parents' deaths, his job in hospice work, and the plane crash that killed his girlfriend and placed him at the Apollyon. It drove him to anger. No longer did he need to remain on Satan's path; he could choose his own. Not even Satan knew he could reach out to his enemies.

The witches wonder if Cordelia could even be willing to hear Ben out, but Ben knew that they would be apprehensive. That's why he took another step.

Answer: Myrtle Snow

Realizing that the witches would need more proof that he wasn't pulling one over on them, Ben descended, alone, into the underworld and came across Papa Legba, who assisted him by turning a blind eye to his quest. In the darkness, he wandered until he found a friend: Myrtle Snow.

Ben explained that Myrtle was placed in a version of Hell that reflected her worst nightmare, working the cash register at a JC Penney in Branson, Missouri, being the only one of taste in a sea of poor fashion. He pulled her from this awful place, taking her wherever she wanted to go next (and it turned out to be a Comme des Garçons fashion show).

Answer: Madison

Ben spoke to Myrtle about Cordelia's childhood and the period in which she acted as the young, future Supreme's surrogate mother and he reminds them that he is not the Devil they know, but the Devil they need.

Sure enough, when the bell rings and the front door opens, Myrtle lets herself him, embracing Cordelia and announcing that she's there, on Ben's request, to help repair the planet. Though Coco is excited to meet the famous witch and Mallory welcomes her gratefully, Madison takes her time, avoiding stepping forward for the greeting. She instead stays back to tell Ben that she believed he was telling the truth the whole time, asking what other tricks he might have up his sleeve for them.

Answer: Her

Madison seems to admit, at least to herself eventually, that she fell in love with Satan's son after that night at the Academy. Satan's spawn and a witch became history's ultimate it couple with that; she always had a thing for bad boys, obviously.

There was a time, however, when she was looking to date and constantly failing to find the right guy. Just like every other millennial, she felt like she lost years of her life to COVID and bad politics. She couldn't find a single man to love her, and not even witchcraft could help her.

Answer: False

Eventually, Madison realized she needed to take the control into her own hands. She froze her eggs, intending to deal with the whole idea of having babies when she was older, heading to the best warlock gynaecologist in the business. In that moment she felt hope and excitement that she was making the right choice, but what happened was worse than she could have expected-- only one viable egg. Madison evidently waited too long; not even a fertility spell would help.

Answer: Italy

Only three months after visiting her gynaecologist, Madison and the witches were visited by Ben, and she was surprised to like someone so normal and chill (save for the Satanic bloodline, of course). He was the one who suggested they go for dinner on the night he arrived, taking her not just to an Italian restaurant, but teleporting them through the academy doors to a restaurant in Italy altogether.

There, surrounded by Italy's high class diners, Madison tried to play shy and attempted to keep her cards close to her chest. Ben, reading her mind, instead leaned in, creating a more intimate setting for them by waving his hand and making it so that they were the only ones sitting for a meal. It was a good trick, she had to admit.

Answer: Killed her

While Ben removed the patrons of the restaurant, Madison changed the ambiance, adding to the lighting with her trademark fire-making skill before diving into get-to-know-you chatter. She joked that it must be weird going on a date and looking for a connection as the son of Satan, and he had to admit, it was.

The only date he'd been on since was with Ashley, and after he gained the ability to read minds, it was over between them. After the tattoo incident, he questioned why she would keep visiting, and after she made it clear she knew about his true nature, the jig was up. For manipulating him and lying to him, he decapitated her, twisting her head clean off.

Madison acknowledged that Ashley probably had it coming. Ben thinks he went too far.

Answer: Good

Madison commiserated with Ben. While she believed that Ashley deserved what was coming, she softened the blow for Ben by admitting that she, one time, flipped over a bus full of frat boys, killing all of them. They deserved it too, fortunately. She thanked him for not being judgmental about this, admitting that she'd always tried really hard to be a good person; her instincts just tended to foil her.

Ben and Madison both hoped that their tendencies would balance themselves out; both felt compelled to act on their anger, often to their detriment. Maybe wanting to be good would be good enough.

That evening, fulfilling all of her rom-com wants, Madison took Ben to bed and spent the night with the son of the Devil himself.

Answer: God

Madison turns to Ben in bed and has to ask, if he's connected to Satan's or Mr. Nas' mind, then who's to say that he can't read Ben's mind in return. The problem is that Ben doesn't know; theoretically he could. And with that in mind, Satan could arrive at Miss Robichaux's and kill them all. He doesn't want to scare her, but he's new to the whole situation.

Ben asks if she knows the Bible and recounts that Jesus was in the desert for forty days and forty nights before Satan tried to tempt him into turning his back on God. Satan offered Jesus bread, testing his faith, offering dominion over the world. But Jesus said no. Ben believes that, maybe, Madison is his temptation, presented to him so he would know what's possible if he denied Satan instead. He could have love.

Madison says it's a lovely idea, but she's no angel, but Ben reasons that perhaps the world can be saved if a few broken people band together. The coven is damaged, but they still fight evil, and he wants to be on their side. Madison has to admit that her prince has finally come, even if he's the Prince of Darkness.
