Oren and Liam go to the FBI field office where Agent Ross works in the hopes that she can help them find Jess and Rafael. Liam tells Agent Ross that Myles, the former nurse of his grandfather (former FBI agent Peter Sadusky) had been killed. Oren then opens up to Agent Ross under a polygraph so she'll believe him.

The exact questions asked to Oren aren't shown but Agent Ross tells him he passed the polygraph and that she will help them stop Billie and find Jess and Rafael.

When Agent Ross tells Tasha her name is Hannah Betsy Ross, Tasha responds "really, Betsy Ross"? Agent Ross laughs along and tells Tasha that her mom liked to sew.

Betsy Ross was born in 1752 and she is often credited with convincing George Washington to adopt a five-pointed 13-star design for the United States flag in 1776. Although Betsy Ross being the first to design the U.S. flag is disputed, it is documented that she designed flags for over 50 years after the American Revolutionary War.

Rafael and Billie are talking about their past and she explains that her parents were killed in London when she was ten after an attack by the IRA. Billie contends that she doesn't dwell on the past but Rafael tells her all treasure hunters do is dwell on the past.

When Billie locates the needle on the spine of Rafael's journal, he tells her that it used to be Manuela's old sewing needle. Billie is not convinced and she correctly guesses that the needle can open the artifact on Jess's necklace. Once open, the needle is placed inside and it acts as a wayfinder when they are near the Mesoamerican treasure.

The SOS that Jess sends from Ethan's phone goes to his ex-girlfriend, Meena, who shares the SOS pin with Tasha. Tasha realizes that since the SOS pin is over the Gulf of Mexico, Jess and Rafael must be in an airplane. Tasha is able to pinpoint the airplane's location and from its flight trajectory determines that it will land at the airport in Vicksburg, MS.

Utilizing an ADS-B signal and dongles from a cathode ray tube tv, Tasha tracks the location of Billie's plane. With its location and a map of airborne planes, Tasha determines that Billie's plane is a Bombardier Global 7500.

The Bombardier Global 7500 is classified as a business jet and it was introduced for commercial use in December 2018. At its introduction, the Bombardier Global 7500 was marketed as "the largest, longest range, roomiest and most luxurious purpose-built business aircraft yet built."

In a prior episode, Agent Ross had asked Dr. Zeke to do a toxicology report on Peter Sadusky after she got a tip from Jess that his death was not natural. A major abnormality noticed by Zeke was that Sadusky had a large amount of orange dye #47 on his hand.

When Zeke and Ross go on their first date he provides her a thoughtful bouquet made out of wrappers from candies that have orange dye #47. Agent Ross laughs and appreciates the gift and they decide that they want to investigate the Sadusky home further.

Oren and Liam go through Peter Sadusky's journal and unravel clues hidden inside. Oren thinks that the Daughters of the Plumed Serpent likely hid the treasure in the Devil's Swamp as well as set up traps for those trying to find it. He further explains that the Devil's Swamp is like the Bermuda Triangle of the Mississippi because people have gone out to the Devil's Swamp and never come back.

Answer: Smart, devious

Rafael tells Jess that she is smart like her mother but devious like him. Prior to Rafael telling her this, Jess had recommended that they escape their hostage situation by leading Billie and her henchmen into traps.

FBI Agent Hendricks is the boss of Agent Ross. In one scene Hendricks twirls around a pack of orange tic-tac breath mints. Immediately, Agent Ross realizes that Hendricks was responsible for the death of Peter Sadusky because the tic-tacs have orange dye #47 which was on Peter Sadusky's hands when he died.

While Agent Ross is confronting Billie, Hendricks stabs Ross in the back with a sword. Rafael recognizes Hendricks from decades prior when Hendricks had killed Billie's brother Sebastian and Rafael tells everyone that Hendricks is Salazar, the leader of a secret cabal.
