Driving back to Talia's, Dexter informs Anna that he's spoken to the police in Brooklyn about her potential stalker. After all, the nurse in the hospital likely caused the miscarriage. Anna is realistic; the police thought she made up the intruder in their apartment, so this'll be no different. They won't even find her nurse, Ivy, on the cameras at the hospital; she's sure of it. Anna, finding her own way back to Talia's, takes a path through the woods instead of following the road and quickly comes across noises in the forest that seem frightening, but compel her deeper off the beaten path. Anna eventually makes it back to the house after nightfall to find that Dexter called the police looking for her; he and Kamal were looking for her for hours. Dexter theorizes that Anna's meds may be causing her to act weird. She tells Dexter about Preecher in the woods-- something is wrong about the whole situation.

When Dexter and Anna bring Kamal out to the woods to check the site, they find no sign of a fire. The only thing they find is a snowy owl, perched in the tree where Ms. Preecher sat.

Anna returns to the house and her bedroom before she opens up her phone again. This time, when she opens up her Instagram app, she looks into the Preecher_Spe@ks account she'd seen posting about her in the past only to find that the account doesn't exist. The dreams continue that night.

When Anna awakens she finds herself standing at the bedroom window with Dexter asleep in the bed behind her. Following the sound of a lullaby outside the bedroom, she wanders through the house until she locates the singer in the kitchen. To her surprise, someone's actually there-- Nicolette, Talia's house manager. Nicolette didn't expect anyone to be up so early, so she was watching a video of her baby on her phone while she used her breast pump. She apologizes for the awkwardness, but she's a single mom with an eight-week-old at home.

In Talia's kitchen, Anna finds a fruit basket that was dropped off as a gift from Hamish Moss, the director of 'The Auteur', a note inside congratulating her. Angrily, she wakes Dexter and asks him if he gave over their address despite her distaste for the man. Dexter decides to call up Siobhan; Anna needs her best friend with her. When he leaves the room, by coincidence, Siobhan's giving her a call.

Anna's snapped out of a reverie with her phone no longer ringing when Siobhan enters the room. Anna tries to reason-- Siobhan *just* called. But it seems she lost most of her morning. There appears to be blood on the corner of Anna's mouth. The fruit basket is nearly empty, save for a bottle of champagne.

Siobhan is quick to help Anna with a fresh meal and a good talk. She claims that she felt just as crazy during her miscarriage-- loaded with chemicals to get pregnant, then full of hormones from the pregnancy before having everything drop off with the grief. It's postpartum with none of the reward. The only way she got through it was to sweat it out; she tells Anna that they're going to go out for a walk.

The beach ends up being cold when they head out, and though they're trailed by Kamal the entire way, it's a good idea to get moving. Siobhan tells Anna that it's time to shift out of pity party mode, and next week, she'll have to get back into the driver's seat by sitting in the beauty chair. After all, she's booked her to be on the cover of "Vogue". She's earned it. She might not feel ready, but she'll learn how to do it as she goes.

As Siobhan departs to take a call, Anna continues down the beach, walking until she steps on something painful. Digging in the sand, she finds it-- a doll of her old TV show character with nails hammered into the body. Neither she nor Kamal turn around to see the two figures clad in black watching from further up the beach, both in ornate headdresses and both holding leashed, black goats.

Anna returns to the house after her walk with Siobhan and immediately descends into the basement with the bottle of champagne from her gift basket. There, looking through one of Talia's boxes of childhood belongings she finds a photo album and pores through it. To her concern, however, a mobile on a crib hiding in the shadows starts playing a song on its own. She proceeds to down the bottle while she goes through the boxes, eventually falling asleep on the floor.

When Anna awakens, she finds its still daylight and peers around the basement to find something she didn't notice before: a low door nestled in the stone wall. Approaching, she hears the sound of whispered chanting and she bends over to open the passage. What she finds, as the door slams shut behind her, is a candlelit hallway.

Once Anna is in the corridor beneath Talia's house she finds a number of dimly-lit stone passageways, some of which bear streaks of blood along their walls, and as she navigates the labyrinth there she comes across a chamber containing a number of shelves. Upon those shelves are glass jars, all bearing unborn children in different stages of development. Perhaps worse, beyond that room is a rusty medical chair with stirrups. A Latin chant is written on the walls in blood.

Anna makes to run away but she's grabbed by the two figures from the beach and strapped into the chair. As she's knocked unconscious by a rag to the cave, the figures inject her with a waiting syringe.

Anna awakens when she feels something move in her stomach. She finds herself on the other side of the stone door, still on the basement floor. She gets to her feet and races up the stairs to find that the basement door is locked. Fortunately, Dexter hears her and opens it. Despite her fear, she has good news-- she felt the baby moving inside her.

Anna tries to confide in Dexter that while she shouldn't have been drinking or in the basement, it's a good thing that she feels signs that a baby's inside her. Dexter is apprehensive to believe her, however, especially when Anna trips over the Summer Day doll from the beach. She blames the stalkers; they're intimidating her. It all just seems really unlikely, according to Dexter. He starts to cry; it was his kid too.

Anna wakes up from a nap and heads outside to make a call to Dr. Hill, asking whether or not it's possible the miscarriage was even real, and he explains that it's normal for a mother to feel symptoms after the tragic occurrence. Some of these can be quite powerful. The difference, Anna says, is that she felt the baby move. Dr. Hill says isn't not possible that she still has the baby. He recommends that she give herself time and space to deal with her trauma.

As Anna gazes out over the water from the balcony, Nicolette comes upon her. Nicolette asks if she's hurt. After all, her mouth is bleeding. A quick check of pregnancy symptoms while checking her gums in the mirror gives her reason to believe the doctor is wrong.

Anna heads into town to visit a local pharmacy, using this opportunity to look through the shelves at the store's collection of baby toys and accessories. Grabbing a hooded towel off the shelves she inhales deeply at the soft fabric as the lights begin to flicker, and by the time she turns around, it's nighttime. The two figures, cloaked in black, walk by the front of the store, and as Anna turns to look the other way, the store clerk approaches to let her know that the store is closing. The clerk did not see anyone else in the store; they're the only ones left in the building.

Despite the store closing, Anna asks for what she came for-- a fetal heart monitor (or a doppler). Unfortunately, they're out of stock. Before Anna leaves, the clerk has to ask if she can feel Anna's stomach; Anna, she says, must be one of those women who never shows early on. She can, however, feel the baby kicking.

As Anna heads home she ponders the discovery that others can feel her baby. The good feeling subsides quickly when she looks out the window to see Sonia Shawcross standing in an alleyway, however, and she asks Kamal to stop the vehicle. Preparing to approach the woman, she stops herself when she sees Dexter arriving to meet the artist. Ms. Preecher also appears, showing up to warn Anna away before she, too, is warned off by Kamal. On the drive home, Anna changes her the password back to what it was on her phone and places a calendar invite into her schedule. Its title: WHAT DO YOU WANT? Anna gets the response, as a calendar invite, in turn: I WANT TO WARN YOU. THEY DID SOMETHING TO YOUR BABY.

She asks one more question before heading outside: DID THEY KILL MY BABY?

As Anna takes a breath and looks out over the lake, only one message comes back: YOUR BABY ISN'T DEAD. She sighs in relief but doesn't notice Nicolette watching her from inside the window.
